Flowers, Fir Needles and Fussy Cutting

Another busy day today. Spent the morning at Opportunity House and the late afternoon at Teacher's Warehouse. At Opportunity House I got some jungle animals for the twins to play with when they come on Saturday. Their toys are now all organized with new shelves and boxes. The boxes are marked with pictures so they'll be able to see where the balls go, where the animals go, etc. So I am hoping that helps in the clean up process. I still need a better way to organize their books. They have a lot of those.
Also today I worked on Day 7 of Beccy's Month of Holiday Cards which was the letter F. I really had several ideas for the card but finally decided to go with flowers. I saw a card from Lisa's Stamp Studio newsletter that I really liked and tried to CASE it. This is Lisa's card:

And this is the card I made:

For my card I used Heartfelt Creations Swirls. I inked them with MFT Cherry Crisp and did a bit of coloring with Prisma Colored Pencils. The fir needles, pine cones, and holly and berries are from a retired Gina K set called Winter Foliage. The pine cones were stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and the leaves and needles were stamped with MFT Elf Green ink. The sentiment is from the retired Simon Says stamp set called Big Holiday Wishes. You can see that I used several sets that haven't gotten much love lately. The flowers and the pine cones were fussy cut after stamping. I finished the flowers and leaves with some Wink of Stella for some shimmer and added some Neat and Tangled sequins in red and silver. I am entering these challenges:
Arthur's word for "F" is fisss (fish). We have a poem that we made up when they were babies. They had some fish that hung down from their play mat and we chant "Fishy, fishy in a brook, Fishy, fishy on my hook. Fishy, fishy on my plate, Fishy, fishy it tastes great! They still like that rhyme so I guess that's why it's his F word. Thanks for stopping by. I have another card in the works that I hope I find time for tomorrow. Have a blessed day!

Oh Donna, you've cased the card beautifully. What a great way to organize the twins toys, I'll have to pass that tip along. Hugs, Lori m

Wow, this is a beauty Donna! I love the vibrancy of the flowers and foliage, what great inks! The scattering of sequins is lovely, they give your card just the right amount of sparkle. I love that sentiment too, how fabulous is that?!
Cheers,
Beccy
