Our weather has turned for the worst. We had white outs this afternoon and lots of accidents. I was really happy to get home where I can stay and not have to worry about driving on the nasty roads. The schools already have delays here for tomorrow since the temperatures will be below zero in the morning. It won't be fun getting up for work tomorrow. Since we have such cold weather I figure my card tonight is appropriate: a Christmas card!
This is an image from Lady Anne's Progressive Christmas challenge. If you use the images she provides you get the next months images and are entered into a prize drawing set for June. I figured this would be a great way to get a start on my Christmas cards. I colored the images with alcohol markers backed with a black card stock. I added the gold ribbon on the background designer paper. Besides Lady Anne's challenge I am also entering the Outlawz Friday challenge which was to use alcohol markers and the twist was to make a Christmas card.
Hope your week is coming to an enjoyable end. Make it a wonderful Friday and a super crafty weekend. Please stop back tomorrow when we unveil the newest sets from Doodle Pantry.

Treasure the Moments
Happy Hump Day! More than half way through the week and getting closer to my favorite time (Friday at 5pm). Our temperatures are dropping again this evening and we are supposed to have snow showers. Hard to believe it was 60 degrees at lunch time today. Crazy weather we are having. Tomorrow I have to go to the hospital for an ultra sound and a blood test. Hoping that all goes well.
My card tonight is CAS. Still playing with washi tape.
I layered washi tape on the card base. I used a new border punch I bought yesterday on clearance at Micheals. It's a Martha Stewart Daisy Fan punch. I added a sentiment from Gina K's Timeless Treasure illustrated by Theresa Momber. I embossed the bottom with a Sizzix Flourishes embossing folder. Very easy design.

Paper Pieced Balloons
Happy Monday! It was rainy here today but could have been much worse. It could have been colder and then it would have been ice or snow. The prediction for tomorrow is strong storms as our temperature is supposed to be in the 60s. Is this still January? Hard to believe. But I was thinking spring and summer this evening. I made afew thank you notes, CAS style with washi tape and paper piecing.
I just used several pieces of washi tape as my background in varying lengths and widths. I cut out a hot air balloon from the Gina K Eclectic Summer set and paper pieced them with scraps from my scrap box. I added a thank you sentiment from Gina K Arranged with Love set. Easy peasy!

Dog Gone Cute
I honestly don't know where the weekends go but Monday rolls around way too fast. I am off on Tuesday but have an entire day of doctor's appointments. I try to make them on the same day and get them all over with at one time. So I'm hoping that maybe Tuesday I might have a little more time to craft. I've been working on a couple of design team projects that I can't share yet but I did get one card done that I can share. Here's my Valentine for our favorite dog that we dog sit for. His owners get such a kick out of getting a card for the dog. It's just fun to see what they say after they get it.
The inside says: "Can't keep my paws to myself. Happy Valentines Day!" The adorable puppy image is drawn by Stef Hughes (Glitterbabe) and can be found at Floppy Latte Digital Designs. When I saw him I fell in love! Colored with Bic Markers. The sentiment is from Create with TLC. The sentiment is cut with Clear Dollar Stamps dies. I added some Valentine designer paper and some twine to finish it off. Just a fun card!

Almost the Weekend!
That's Udderly Awesome! At least I think it is. I am living for the weekends. We are supposed to get snow tonight but not very much. Just enough to make the drive to work hazardous probably. Or maybe they will be totally wrong and we won't get a flake. Speaking of udderly awesome check out my card tonight.
My udderly awesome son is having a birthday next week, turning 26 years old, so I made him this card with Doodle Pantry's Moo Sheep, one of their January release sets. Both the image and the sentiment are from the Moo Sheep set. I scored the blue bottom section on the diagonal and then added blue glitter glue. (Oops, it just occurred to me that those glitter glue dots look like cow paddies?) The background is kraft card stock and I used faux stitching around several of the pieces on the card.

Rosebud
Very cold outside today. It never reached 20 degrees and the wind chill was much colder than that. It isn't supposed to get much warmer until the end of the week. And we have 2-4 inches of snow coming on Thursday. I am so ready for spring! So here's a card with more spring-like colors.
The rose bud is a Doodle Pantry image called Rose & Bud. I am not sure where I found the sentiment. I had it in my stash and I couldn't find it again on my computer. I need to clean up my files. So if you know where this sentiment came from I'll be happy to edit. I used Spellbinders scalloped circles and regular circles. I used the Victoria embossing folder and added some pretty ribbon.

I am Loving Washi Tape
I've been a lazy card maker this week but working on an afghan that I started after Christmas. So I've been crafty but not with something that I can show right away. So I whipped up a very simple birthday card since I need several right at the beginning of February.
This card is about as CAS as it gets. I just added several colors of washi tape to a scrap of white card stock and then punched out a butterfly. Popped up the butterfly on the card and added a sentiment. The washi tape really makes this fun! I am entering this card into the Simon Says challenge to use washi tape.
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend. I get an extra day this week with the Martin Luther King holiday tomorrow. I'll be helping several hundred Girl Scouts do service projects tomorrow most of the day. Have a wonderful start to your week!

Touch of the Country Life
Happy Monday! Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the challenge at Craft Your Passion this week. The theme this week is Gone Country. So I used the Doodle Pantry image of the Old Barn.
The sentiment is from another Doodle Pantry set but I forgot to write it down and now I can't find it. I cut it out with the Fancy Tag Spellbinder's die and embellished with some blue gems. The accent paper is scraps from my box but it's digital paper from another Doodle Pantry set. I have to get better at writing these things down. The red background for the image is a scrap from my box. I hope you'll join us at Craft Your Passion this week for a chance to win some Doodle Pantry goodies!

Beat of my Heart
Today's card is all about music. I used a white on white background and used a Sizzix Music Sheet to emboss the background. The oval cut out shows a sheet music digital paper by Lindsay's Stampin Stuff. The image is from Doodle Pantry Violin in the colored version. The sentiment is a freebie from Scrap Happy Paper Crafter. I added a heart with a Ruby Slipper Stickels outline. The sentiment is cute with a Spellbinder fancy tag die but I didn't like how the fancy flourish looked on the ends so I cut the fancy flourish part off so you could see the music sheet background. I'm happy with how this one turned out.
I am entering these challenges:
- Paper Makeup Stamps challenge: white on white
- Digi Haven challenge: sparkles and bling
- Outlawz CAS challenge: "Let's make music together."
- Operation Write Home ODBD January Challenge: dry embossing
- Through the Craft Room Door challenge: anything goes

Penny Black Hugs
Happy Saturday! I made this card last night and left it overnight to dry. The background stamp is Penny Black allover pattern. The image and sentiment is from Penny Black Hugs. I repeated the sentiment throughout the background. I added several banners of patterned paper under the fussy cut image. I added Orange Stickels to the flower and randomly on the background. This card looks great in real life!
I am entering these challenges:
- Clearly iStamp challenge: puppy love (card of love featuring an animal)
- Through the Craft Room Door challenge: anything goes

You are in my Heart and Thoughts
This card is a departure from my normal cards and I rather like how this one turned out. This card is pretty simple but it took a while to complete. The border on the left is fussy cut and with all the nooks and crannies it took some time to cut. I stamped the doily (that I got in the dollar bin at Target) with my retired Stampin' Up! word background. I added the pink heart stamped with the same Penny Black border from the Puzzle Piece set. Then I added the sentiment from the Penny Black Hugs set in Memorybox white ink. I am entering the Flourishes Love Letters challenge with this card. You have until Friday at 5p.m. to enter the challenge and the prize is the entire Flourishes January release. What a prize! Thanks for stopping by today. I am hoping to have another card for you tomorrow.

Thank You, You're Blooming Wonderful
That's what I think of all my visitors! So welcome to Indiana Inking. I have two cards for you this evening. One is a thank you and one is blooming wonderful! LOL!
This is an anniversary card that I sent to my brother and wife today. The image is a pre-colored image from Doodle Pantry. The set is called Mini Rose Pot. The sentiment is also included in the set. The paper is out of my scrap box. The polka dotted paper is from Paper Studio and the striped paper is from Doodle Pantry. The sentiment is cut with an EK Success punch. The sketch that I used is from Operation Write Home. I am entering this card into Lady Anne's Sentiment challenge: anything goes
My second card is a thank you! Just love my CAS card!
Several months ago I won a bunch of Penny Black stamps from the Moxie Fab World blog. I tucked them away in one of my stamp boxes and forgot about them. I found them last night looking for another set and had this card run through my head. The brick wall background is stamped in Memento Desert Sand. The little hedgie is stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa and colored with Copics (R27, R29, E35). The Thank You sentiment is from Gina K Arranged With Love set stamped in Rich Cocoa. I am entering these challenges:

Happy Sailing
Something new today. One of the new sets from Doodle Pantry for January is Old Ship. What a wonderfully masculine set!
This is my first time using this set. And I love the results! Even my husband commented on the card when he saw it on my desk. I colored the image with Copics. The wavy edge paper is really a recycled tissue box. I thought it was perfect for the picture. The sentiment is included in the set and I punched it with an EK Success label punch backed with a bit of ribbon. Easy peasy! Hope you like it!

I Just Called
Today I made a somewhat vintage Valentine for the Flourishes Love Letters challenge for their January release. I don;t have any Flourishes Valentine stamps so I used a Gina K set. The vintage phone is stamped in Memorybox White ink. It's much darker in real life. I used a sentiment from the same set. The background stamp is a retired Stampin' Up! stamp. I made the border with a Martha Stewart lace punch and lined is with some black checked ribbon.
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend! Thanks for stopping by.

Stuck on You
Can you hear Lionel Richie singing it? I can! I used to love him and I guess I still do. LOL! My first Valentine of the season for you tonight.
This card looks really crooked in the photo but it really isn't in real life. Not sure what's up with that. I'm using some new goodies on this card. My new Spellbinders Triple Scalloped Borders. I am really loving those. And the images are from a new set that's being laying on my desk unused. It's Penny Black's Stuck on You set. Can't imagine why it took me so long to use it. I love those little critters. Around the image I used some faux stitching. I stamped the background with some smaller hearts from Gina K sets. I hand cut the popped up hearts in the four corners and used Spellbinder Hexagons to cut out and back the image and sentiment. I am entering these challenges:

One Image Two Cards
In my quest this year to use up things that I have around I found these two images in my stash already colored and ready to go. I used the same sketch on both but just different scraps of paper. Yeah, more of my scraps gone (but tons of stuff left to use! LOL!)
Both of these cards were super easy and very fast to make. The background is a scrap of Basic Grey paper. The border is from my new Spellbinders Classic Triple Scallop border. I used two of the three borders on this one. Matted the image on another scrap still laying on my desk from the pinwheels from yesterday and rounded the corners. Super fast and easy. I am entering this card into the CAS-ual Friday challenge: 10 minute craft dash!
The second card uses the same image but I gave it a vintage look.
The background paper is a scrap that I repurposed from another card. I backed that with a black border on a white card base. I used the same Spellbinders Classic Triple Scallop border but I used the third border on this one. I distressed the edges of the image and the edges of the black card stock backing. I am not very good at vintage and this is about as good as it gets when it comes to vintage. LOL! I am entering this card into these challenges:

Starting Over
Greetings! It's the start of a new year and a chance to begin again. So did you make any resolutions for the new year? I have a couple things in mind that I really want to work on. One of them is making more cards for Operation Write Home. And another thing I'd love to do is use up my scraps. I decided today that I would move in that direction and I looked up a tutorial for making pinwheels. It uses up scraps.
I picked two pieces of patterned paper scraps and cut them to the required sizes and put several of them together. The background paper is recycled wall paper. Then I used one of the patterned papers to cut a border using a Christmas present I got from my son: new Spellbinder border dies. I layered a printed ribbon over the patterned paper. Instead of the brad in the middle of the pinwheel I added a sentiment: " Maybe it's not always about trying to fix something broken. Maybe it's about starting over & creating something better." I can't remember where I got the sentiment. If you know please leave a comment so I can give proper credit. (That should be another one of my resolutions; to keep better track of where I got the digis!) I really like the way this one came out.

Happy New Year and New Release from Doodle Pantry
Happy 2013! It's time to start fresh and today Doodle Pantry to showing off their newest release. I worked with two of the new sets. My first set is Olive You. This set is free with any purchase from January 1st through the 24th.
This is just the cutest set. I couldn't stop making cards. The first card I made as a thank you card for my SIL and her husband. They love martinis so I thought this was so appropriate. The other two cards will likely be sent to Operation Write Home. The background papers, images and sentiments come with the set.
The second set that I used is called Moo Sheep. The images and sentiments are a hoot!
The patterned paper, image and sentiment all come with the set. I just love that sentiment! Check out all the new releases for the month of January. At noon today the January challenge will be up and if you play along you will get this set.
This set is Cupid Turtle. So play along and receive this set for free. Hope you've enjoyed the samples of the new release. Thanks for stopping by today. And Happy 2013 just one more time!
