Hoppy Easter

I seem to be on a roll this week, finding time to be at my desk to craft. I've also written out about a dozen cards and sent them out too. That's major for me, as I tend to make them and then don't send them. LOL! I needed two more Easter cards so I actually mass produced these.

While looking for designer paper for yesterday's card, I ran into this cute bunny paper from Imagine That digital stamps and thought it would be perfect for a quick Easter card. I paired it with an old wood mounted stamp from Great Impressions with a bunny and carrot and the cute sentiment. I added some die cut washi tape from MFT Blueprints 13 (retired). Then I added Cotton Candy Stickles dots to the "washi tape" and the bunny's tail. I am entering these challenges:
We got our second vaccine shot this morning. So far, so good. I'm feeling okay. They did say our flu like symptoms 10 days after our first shot was a side effect from the first shot. Hoping to get some additional time this afternoon to see what else I can create. Just sent a bunch of birthday cards out so I could probably use more of those and definitely more thinking of you cards. Thanks for stopping by. Have a beautiful day. Stay safe. Peace and all good!

Friends Who Care

Just a quick card this morning for a friend who is going through a rough patch. I thought this might brighten their day.

The image was a freebie from Cre8tive Hands ages ago. They haven't posted anything since 2016 but I still love their little cat and dog together. The background papers are all from Imagine That digital sets, using up scraps and die cut with MFT Stitched Frames. The sentiment is from Create with TLC. I am entering these challenges:
We had a great time with the twins on Sunday. It was windy and cold so we mostly stayed indoors and played but stopped at the playground when we took them home. I think they were rather tired by the time they went home. They never stop running around and wear themselves out. Thanks for stopping by today. Stay safe! Peace and all good!

Hap-bee Birthday

Just a quick post this morning before we have fun with the twins today. I thought I would get this card done much earlier in the month but it wasn't to be (no pun intended.).

This is the progressive challenge image for March at The Outlawz. The image is Lulu Bee from Paper Nest Dolls die cut with MFT Stitched Ovals. I used Spectrum Noir markers for the coloring and added Yellow Stickles to the flower and bows on the image and then also on the black borders. I used Black Diamond Stickles on the antenna hearts. The honeycomb paper is from Optical Illusions blog. Kate is now on Facebook, but her blog hasn't been updated since 2017. My sentiment is computer-generated and then I cut the words out be hand. The image is edged with Black Soot Distress Oxide ink. The borders were punched with a Martha Stewart punch. I am entering these challenges:
Hope you have a wonderful Sunday! It isn't the bright sunshiny day we had yesterday but I guess we'll muddle through. Thanks for stopping by. Stay safe. Peace and all good!

Warm Holiday Wishes

Happy Saturday! Today was the most gorgeous spring day here. Temps reached the 70s. I turned over a part of our garden this afternoon and put my little plants out on the porch for the day. I now have zucchini, butternut squash, tomatoes, and marigolds sprouting. I also have planted jalapenos, spaghetti squash, red peppers, and basil, but they haven't sprouted yet. We've already planted onions and radishes in the garden. But I need to get some cards done before the end of the month, so I tried unsuccessfully this afternoon to get something done. Finally finished one card.

I used a retired set from Gina K called Winter Foliage. It's one of my favorite sets. I used MFT Green Elf ink for the needles. For the pine cones I inked MFT Latte first and then "rock and rolled" Memento Rich Cocoa ink. Afterward, I used Prisma Color pencils to add more shading to the pine cones. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamps Big Holiday Wishes. I added the front to a red card stock base. I am entering these challenges:
We have the twins tomorrow. I wish it would be a day like today so we could run outside a lot. But it's supposed to rain tomorrow. I am hoping it will pass through overnight and be not so bad tomorrow. Hope you are having a sunshiny weekend. Take care! Stay safe. Peace and all good!

Starry Sympathy

One of our neighbor's father passed away. He wasn't able to go to his funeral because of the pandemic so I made him a card in hopes of him realizing that someone cared.

I love that starry paper. The combination of the teal and gold really make it shine. I decided to go with the black card stock base because it makes the color pop. I used Spellbinder's Chevron Border die to die cut the starry paper. The sentiment, from Folded Paper and Printed Pixels (the site didn't come up),  is difficult to read so I'll print it for you:
Perhaps they are not the stars,
But rather openings in Heaven,
Where the love of our lost ones pour through
And shines down upon us
To let us know they are happy.
I die cut the sentiment with Gina Marie Designs Wonky Stitched Ovals. I backed the die cut with gold paper. I carried the star theme into the inside of the card too. I am entering these challenges:
Thanks for stopping by today. It's been busy. Volunteered at both Opportunity House and Teacher's Warehouse. One big project that I've been working on at OH is coming to an end (I hope) so I am hoping for more craft time. I spent a lot of time at home working on that project. Stay safe. Peace and all good!

Anniversary

It's been a while, friends! I just haven't had the heart to craft in the last week. Today I am showing you the last card I made before I took the break. Last week was a tough week. It started out pretty normal but really went downhill starting Monday evening. I started feeling sick on Monday evening and went to bed early. Tom started feeling sick on Tuesday. I didn't get out of bed on Tuesday until Tom made me get up at 5pm. Only had a few crackers all day long. We got hit with some kind of flu but fortunately it wasn't Covid. Took us a couple of days to recoup but we are much better. Shortly after I recovered I got a message from a friend informing me that another close card-making buddy had suddenly passes away. Valerie was taken from us way too soon. The card I am showing you today was for her and her husband.

Valerie and her husband haven't seen each other since before Christmas. Ted had been sick and in and out of the hospital many times over the last year. Things were looking up and he was stable and she thought he would come home soon when I talked with her last week. And suddenly she was gone. I can imagine her DH is devastated. This card was addressed and ready to go to the PO. But I am sending a sympathy card instead. This broke my heart and shut me down last week.
The image and sentiment are from DeeDee's Digis (sadly closed). I used several dies to cut various pieces for the card and used a sketch but I am sure the sketch is closed by now. Today I have a sense of urgency to get some Easter cards done. So I'll be back with short posts later today. Thanks for stopping by. Stay safe. Peace and all good!

Merry

I am attempting to clean off my desk and crafting table. Long way to go but here is the first of the images to be used.

This image is a freebie from Beccy's Place called Stanley's Bauble. I fussy cut the adorable bear swallowed up by that gigantic ornament. The plaid paper is from my Christmas stash. The tag is die cut from MFT Blueprints 13 (retired) and Decosse's Dynamite Doodles Jewel Tones Paper. I doodled a border around the tag. I cut the Sugar Script word "Merry" 3 times from paper and then tried fussy cutting a shadow of my own. I think that turned out pretty good. I am entering these challenges:
The temperature was nice today but windy and cloudy as we have rain moving in shortly. Storms tomorrow so I was glad that we had the twins overnight last night. Valerie was a bit of a challenge to get to bed. And both of them were up at 5:45am this morning. But otherwise we had a great time together. In fact their Dad had to text me this afternoon and tell me that Valerie had a meltdown because they weren't coming back to Grammy and Grandpa's house today. We'll have them again this Sunday. Thanks for stopping by today Stay safe. Peace and all good!

Honey Bear

Happy Tuesday! Today will be a busy day. I have a general Board meeting and then an executive Board Meeting for Opportunity House. We have to pick the twins up from Head Start and they will be spending the night with us. In other words no time to myself. LOL! But last night I did finish another card that I had to leave dry overnight.

This is the Digi of the Month from Imagine That called Honey Bear. Such an adorable image. I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers and die cut it with MFT Stitched Circles. The digital set includes almost everything you see here. I fussy cut the flowers that I added around the top and bottom of the circle. The designer paper with the matching flowers also comes with the set (along with several other papers). I used a yellow card stock base. On the flowers and honey I added Yellow Stickles to the centers for some glittery fun! The yellow hexagon strips are from my stash. I used black card stock for some layering. I am entering these challenges:
I need to finish cleaning up and grabbing some lunch before my board meetings. It's always a mad dash to unplug and put away things that the kids love to get into. Hopefully they will sleep all night but I know I don't sleep well with them in the house. I worry too much. Take care. Stay safe. Peace and all good!

Thinking of You

A quick card today. I have been sending a lot of Thinking of You cards lately and I've depleted my supply. So I think I need to replenish.

The image is from Bugaboo Stamps called 4 Block Tulip Square. I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers. I used the red card base to pop the color of the tulip and the lady bugs. The sentiment was printed out long ago so I'm not sure where it's from. I die cut it with MFT Pierced Fishtail Flags (retired) twice so the flag was on each end. I colored the die cut with the same colors that I used for the tulip. I liked the dots but wanted to do something with them. I pulled out my new bottle of Diamond Stickles and dotted each one. Really sparkles in real life! I am entering these challenges:
We had a gorgeous day today. The sun was brightly shining and it was warmer today. Went for two walks. We didn't have the twins on Sunday because Valerie got the stomach flu. They did go back to school today so we offered to take them for an overnight. So tomorrow night we'll have the kids overnight. I'm sure we'll have a great time. Thanks for stopping by tonight. Stay safe. Peace and all good!

Panda Love

I decided that before I could post this card, I had to take a walk around the block. The sun is shining today and our forecast is for lots of rain this week. So I had to take advantage of the opportunity. But I did get a card done (and some pricing for Opportunity House). So the morning was productive!

This is a slimline card. I used The Paper Shelter's The Most Adorable Panda digital stamp for this card. Since the stamp was just slightly smaller than my sentiments, I die cut black card stock with an MFT Stitched Square die and then used it as the backing for the stamp. The sentiments I cut with the same die and than outlined them with black marker. The dotted paper in the background is a scrap from my scrap box and the borders were created with Spellbinders Classic Scallop Borders dies (retired).  The base is bright green card stock with a black matting for the rest of the card. I left it free of embellishments so it would be easy to send in the mail. The sentiments were freebies from Create with TLC. I am entering these challenges:
Time to go make dinner and get ready for the twins for tomorrow. At least we will be able to take them to the playground tomorrow before the rain comes. That's always helpful to wear them out a bit before they come to our house. LOL! Have a super weekend. Stay safe! Peace and all good.

Leprechauns, Laughter, and Green

Hello, friends! How is your week going? I guess it's almost the weekend. The week has flown by. This morning we volunteered at Opportunity House and this afternoon we drove to Bloomfield (about 45 minutes away) and picked up furniture and office supplies for Teacher's Warehouse. So our day was pretty busy. After dinner I sat down to work on my last St. Patrick's Day card.

I believe this image is from Create with TLC but I can't seem to find it tonight in my files; go figure! I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers and die cut with Gina Marie Designs Cross Stitch Rectangles (retired).  My background designer paper is from Hobby Lobby and die cut with the A2 stitched die from MFT Blueprints 13. The other designer paper is a scrap from my scrap box.  The sentiment is also from Create with TLC , die cut with MFT Pierced Fishtail Flags (retired), and inked with Lucky Clover distress ink. To finish off I added the leprechaun sticker in the top left corner. The card base is green card stock. I am entering these challenges:
Tomorrow morning we get our first vaccine shot. We were scheduled for March 24th and a neighbor suggested I call the hotline and see if we could move up our date and they had slots open this week. So tomorrow will be our first, yeah! I have a few other errands and things tomorrow but hope to get some crafty time. Thanks for stopping by today. Stay safe. Peace and all good!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Happy Tuesday! We had a beautiful sunshiny day today although it was pretty chilly and windy. But the sunshine always makes me smile. I worked on pricing for Opportunity House  today, but took some time this evening to make a St. Patrick's Day card. I usually only send three cards for this holiday. I had one made so I need two more. Tonight I made number 2. One more left for tomorrow.

The cute little mouse is a vintage printable from Create with TLC. For the background circles I used Spellbinder's Splendid Circles dies. The background paper is from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles. My card base is green card stock. I embellished the card with some extra shamrock stickers (to finish out the sketch below). I am entering these challenges:
I am wishing for some warmer weather so we can be outside more. Yesterday, Tom and I went out to our property on Baby Creek Road to measure for our new house. We hope construction will start this summer. So then my crafting time will be severely limited, although I'm handicapped when it comes to building. Tom will have to teach me a lot. Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Stay safe and healthy! Peace and all good!

Welcome to March! Today begins a new challenge at 12 Months of Christmas Link Up. We are a card only anything goes challenge but we do have a twist if you care to use it. This month the twist is "Cheers!"

Our sponsor this month is Bugaboo Stamps. I used Bugaboo's DeDe Christmas Drink. I colored her with Spectrum Noir markers and die cut her with Spellbinders ATC card dies. I scoured my sentiments for an appropriate one but finally decided to just use MFT Captions Alphabet and make our theme as the sentiment. The designer papers are from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles Miscellaneous Textures Red and Green and Christmas Blooms.

I used three self-adhesive pearls in the right top corner. I layered with black card stock. My base card is red card stock. I am entering these challenges:

That's it for me this evening. I hope you will join us with your Christmas creations this month and play along with our challenge. Thanks for stopping by. Stay safe and healthy!
Peace and all good!
