I hope you had a good start to your week! Work is very busy right now. My days are going quickly because there just isn't enough time. They keep turning the water off in our building and we have to go to the first floor to get water and go to the bathroom. My office is on the 8th floor. I get a few more steps in that way. Tomorrow after work I have to drop the cake topper off to our wedding cake baker. One more thing to check off the list.
My card tonight is for some very dear friends on their anniversary. I made a first attempt with a Jennifer McGuire background
. I love her blog. She has such amazing ideas and can teach anyone how to do them easily.
I used Tim Holtz Distress ink in Peacock Feathers, Spiced Marmalade and Squeezed Lemonade. I first stamped and clear embossed the Penny Black background stamp. And then added each color. Spritzed it with water and then let it dry overnight. I put a black layer to help the colors pop. The sentiment is from One Happy Little Crafter
. I used the Spellbinder's Scalloped Hearts to cut out the sentiment and embellished it with a few enameled hearts.
I am entering these challenges:
Thanks for stopping by today. We just got a short but much needed rain shower. I think we could have some more rain coming in tomorrow. I ordered a Spellbinder's box die for wedding favors. I am hoping it gets here soon so I can get started. Take care!
