Angles, Angels, and Aqua

It's not quite November here yet but Beccy's Month of Holiday Cards challenge has begun. I love this challenge each year and I always tried to do all the challenges. Given my schedule the last few months I may not get to create as many cards as I'd like. But I'm going to get started and see where it leads me. So Beccy posted the letter "A" as the first challenge. Here's my card.

I saw a card with a frame drawn in and thought right away that A could be for angles. The angel is from a very old Stampin' Up set called On Angels Wings. I fussy cut the image after coloring with Spectrum Noir markers. The sentiment is from Technique Tuesday Christ is Born. I am entering these challenges:
The twins were here for Halloween this evening. We all had dinner and then they trick or treated for the first time. I thought I'd share their picture in their costumes.

Valerie was a unicorn princess and Arthur was Batman. They had a ball and wanted to eat every piece of candy they collected. But Mom said "no" so I hope they got home without eating too much. LOL! Being a grandparent is so much more fun! Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a wonderful week! Peace and all good!

Best Christmas Gift

Back again with another card today. LOL! I seem to be more motivated at the end of the month. This time I have a Christmas card.

I really like how this card turned out. My image is from Stampendous called Sacred Silhouette. I fussy cut the image and inked it with Squeezed Lemonade distress ink. The sentiment is from Doodle Pantry (sadly closed) and die cut with the tag from MFT Blueprints 13 (retired). I also inked the edges of the tag with Squeezed Lemonade. The card base is 5 x 7 (an unusual size for me) with red card stock. The green paper with stars is from American Craft. I used a doily but had to cut a little off at top and bottom. The holly paper strip is from my stash as is the ribbon that I used. The star is coated with Diamond Stickles and the red gems were added to the doily. I am entering these challenges:
Tomorrow is Halloween. The twins and their parents are coming for dinner and then we'll go around our neighborhood for trick or treat. It probably won't last too long as not many give out candy around here. Valerie, of course, is going as a princess and Arthur will be Batman. They haven't really gone trick-or-treating before so this will be different for them. Have a super Sunday. Thanks for stopping by. Peace and all good!

Shower of Blessings

Happy Saturday! I hope you are looking forward to a relaxing weekend. I have another card for the October Digi of the Month at Imagine That!

The October image is Lizzy's Umbrella. I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers. I die cut the image with Spellbinder's Lattice Rectangles. I backed the frame with orange card stock. The rain cloud background paper and multicolored chevron paper are from my stash. The card base is black card stock. To finish off the card I added some small black pearls around the card.

The inside of the card uses the same rain cloud paper with a sentiment from the Lizzy's Umbrella set die cut from one of the washi tape dies from MFT Blueprints 13 die set. I am entering these challenges:
Thanks for stopping by today. Have a wonderful Saturday! Stay safe. Peace and all good!

Gift of Sunshine

Here I am again at the end of the month trying to get my progressive challenges done for the month. I hope that at least by next year I'll be able to get these done sooner. Life is busy! My first card is The Outlawz Progressive challenge.

The featured image for October is Flowers Tiff's Garden from Oddball Art. I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers and die cut the panel with MFT Blueprints 13 (retired) stitched background die. The sentiment is from Create with TLC. I stamped the sun with Spellbinder's Sunny Days stamps. I layered the card with yellow card stock on a dark blue card base. I am entering these challenges:
Thanks for stopping by. I hope as October comes to an end that you've had more time to be crafty than I have. Yesterday we had out flu shots and tomorrow we have our vaccine booster. Fun times for sure. Stay well! Peace and all good!

Birthday Cheers!

Long time no see! We've been away for a family funeral. Five states over the last week. It was quite the trip and we are glad to be home. Our youngest son has a birthday coming up and I need to get his package in the mail. Here's the card!

The image is from From the Heart Stamps (sadly no longer in business) called Birthday Brew. I colored with Spectrum Noir markers The candle flame and beer "suds" are covered with Stickles Diamonds for some texture and bling. The sentiment is from the same set and die cut with a die from an MFT Blueprints die set. The paper is from my stash.
I am entering these challenges:
That's it for me. I haven't been feeling well the past few days since we got home. I had a Covid-19 test today and I am awaiting results. I don't think I have Covid but the doctor wanted to rule it out. So I am in quarantine until my results come back. So no volunteering tomorrow like I usually do. Thanks for stopping by. Wishing you peace and all good!

Geared Up For A Great Birthday

Tomorrow our twins will turn 5 years old. Where did 5 years go? I posted a picture of the card I made for Valerie last week so I finally got Arthur's done this morning. We are going to celebrate with them tomorrow so I won't mail them this year.

The image and sentiment is from an adorable set from Beccy's Place called The Long Haul. I used the pre-colored version but added some Dimensional Magic on the lighter areas of the cement mixer to give it some dimension. I popped up the image with foam tape. The sentiment panel was die cut with Gina Marie Designs Mosaic Triangle Edge Squares. The background papers are from my stash. The embellishments are Jillibean Soup Wooden Flowers but I thought they looked like gears.
I am entering these challenges:
That's it for me today. I have to finish my shopping and wrap the twin's birthday gifts. And see if I can tackle some of the other jobs on my list today. Thanks for stopping by. Stay safe. Peace and all good!
