Warm Winter Wishes
Happy Wednesday evening! I'm finally getting back into the swing of things. I went back to work on Tuesday and this week is mostly just cleaning things up: my desk and e-mail. That's something that just piles up during the busy times of year so over the holidays very few people are at work so it's time to get things cleaned up. We've had lots of things going on at home too. Both are sons are home for the holidays so I've been spending as much time with them as I can. We had their high school swim coach over for dinner last night so I didn't get anything done last night. But here's an easy card I put together using the Cuttlebugged Wax Paper Technique.
It's somewhat difficult to see but I used the Cuttlebug Snowflake folder for the background. The snowflakes are punched out and then painted with baby Blue Stickles. The sentiment is from Gina K's Warm Winter Wishes. I made this card for several challenges:

Blog Award
I have been so behind lately and I delayed posting this blog award from a very dear friend, Karen.
Part of the award is that I have to tell three things that make me different from everyone else. Hmm . . . I'm not so sure that I am so different from everyone else. I could think of lots more things in common than differences. LOL!
Check out these talented ladies! I get lots on inspiration from all of them.

- I used to be a big time refunder. When my kids were little I would use coupons and send for rebates almost every day. We seldom paid for toys for the kids. I still use coupons but don;t refund much any more.
- I have two Master's degrees: one from The Ohio State University in Early & Middle Childhood Education and one from Indiana University in Library & Information Science.
- I work full time for the Registrar department at Indiana University.

My Top 10 Cards of 2010 Blog Hop
The Manic World of Mrs Weyremaster blog has organized a blog hop asking bloggers to share ten of their favorite cards/projects created in 2010. Here are the instructions she posted: The objective is to let all the cardmakers/crafters out there in blogland showcase cards they have made this year. You don't need to create anything new, all you need do is select 10 cards/projects you've made this year to share. What a fun idea! Here are 10 projects I made this year. It was really hard to narrow it to 10.

More Christmas Goodies
I wanted to share a few more things I made for Christmas gifts. I hope you enjoy them.
This is a pillow for my son who is a huge Colts fan. I crossed stitched him the insert and then sewed the pillow. Quite a feat for me since I am not much of a sewer. But I am thrilled with how it turned out!
These are the ornaments I made for my co-workers. I think I posted some of these previously. They are made from recycled ribbon spools, spray painted and then decorated for the tree. They all seemed to like them!
And finally, two more tissue boxes. I will be making more of these for all seasons. I definitely want one for my desk at work.
Today is Christmas Eve day. By the time this is posted our Christmas at home will be over and we will be traveling toward Cincinnati. Wishing you a wonderful weekend. Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!

Last Christmas Challenge
Christmas Cards All Year 'Round has a challenge to use Santa in 5 cards this month to be eligible to win the prize. My five cards have Santa: a new stamp I bought at Hobby Lobby. Would you believe I didn't have a Santa stamp in all the stamps I have. I couldn't believe it. But I do now so here's the cards I made with the stamp.
And here's a closer look:
I really love that Santa stamp. I think I finally finished writing out all my Christmas cards and I'm working in Santa's shop all weekend to get my giftees done, I hope. Have a wonderful weekend! Merry Christmas all! I hope you are almost ready for the big day!
Hugs,
Donna

Happy New Year!
Delightful Challenges once again has a new challenge. This is the last challenge for 2010 so let's usher in the new year with this "New Year" challenge!
At Thanksgiving I received a card from my aunt who told me what a "masterpiece" my Halloween card was. So I thought I would make her something that she could keep out on her desk all year long. How about a calendar? I thought this would be a great idea to remind her each day that I'll be thinking about her and it's functional too.
Here's the details of my project:
Thanks for dropping by today! We're on watch for another big snow storm. We are already under a winter storm warning and we're expecting 6-8 inches of snow and freezing rain. My son is supposed to drive home from college tomorrow but I'm hoping he stays put for another day. I'd love to have him home but I really want to see him in one piece. Take care if you are getting this nasty weather. Have a wonderful end to your week!
Hugs,
Donna

Birthday Window View
This week at Joan's Garden there's a new challenge. I want to thank Joan for choosing me for one of the prizes from last week's challenge. Can't wait to play with my new goodies. For this week's challenge you need to use snow or snowflakes; make sure there is white on your card; do some chalking; and create a window look.
My card is a white card stock base. I used red and green card stock for my background colors. The window scene is from a recycled Christmas card. I added the tag and accented the tag with green, punched a hole and added the ribbon. The sentiment is from Gina K Versatile Verses. Then glittered the snowflakes and added them to the card. I added the self-adhesive rhinestones to the bottom corner. I think this is Joan's last challenge for 2010 so you won't want to miss this one.
This scene may materialize outside my window by the end of this week. We already have snow on the ground but we have more coming. I usually don't worry about the snow but when they say freezing rain I start to worry a bit. I hate freezing rain. I hope whatever your weather is you are safe and warm. Have a wonderful rest of your week.

Last Cuttlebug Challenge of 2010
This week at The Cuttlebug Spot we're celebrating the new year! The challenge this week is a project of your choice to celebrate the New Year. I can hardly believe that 2010 is about to come to an end and 2011 is just around the corner. Nilda from the Cuttlebug Spot has asked the current design team to continue and we all agreed. So I will remain with the team for now. So what will you create to celebrate the new year? Here's what I put together.
The new year usually brings snow and ice to our area. We've already had several snowfalls with accumulations this season. And the new year also usually brings cold and sniffles. So I created a winter tissue box cover to match the season. Here are the other sides of the box.
The Cuttlebug embossing folder I used was the large snowflake folder. The stamps are from Peachy Keen stamps. I used the Classic Hexagon Nestabilities and a snowflake punch with Baby Blue, Golden Rod and Silver Stickles. Hope you enjoyed my project. Check out what the other members of TCS design team cooked up for the new year. Their blogs can be found on the right side of my blog. Have a wonderful Tuesday!

December Christmas Cards all Year 'Round
I need to apologize to the design team at Christmas Cards All Year 'Round. I am their guest designer this month and I forgot to post my cards on my blog for the December challenge. So here's your invitation to be part of the challenge this month at Christmas Cards All Year 'Round. The challenge this month is to use Santa or the word "Santa" on your card. As always if you make 5 cards you will be entered to win a stamp set. Here's the cards that I created as the guest designer.
The Santa stamp I got from Hobby Lobby. The flower and swirl are from Heartfelt Creations.
The image and sentiment are from Digital Delights. I just love this cute stamp and sentiment.
I've been working all day on Christmas goodies. And the snow is coming down full force as I type. We are only supposed to get about 3 inches so I won't complain because our northern neighbors got up to a foot of snow. I pray that everyone stays warm and safe. Please be careful out there. Hope everyone has a wonderful week. Check back this week for new challenges at The Cuttlebug Spot and Delightful Challenges!

Embossing Challenge at Delightful Challenges
Welcome to Thursday! Baby it's been cold outside and out fireplace has been cranked up to keep warm. And they are predicting more snow for the weekend. This is usually what happens in January and February and not December. Is it spring yet? LOL!
The new challenge today at Delightful Challenges is all about embossing. My card features one of the New Beginnings release: Little Dumpling and Stork.
I think this turned out adorable! I love the image and the embossing. I've never used these Making Memories eyelet letters before. I won those in a blog candy. And I really like how they look. Here's the details on my card.

Christmas Gift with Heartfelt Creations
I made one of my Christmas gifts with my new Heartfelt Creations stamp sets: the Daisy Patch Swirls and the Daisy Patch Flower set and also used the die cuts. Here's my tissue holder using Heartfelt Creations.
I used ink pads and sponges to color the images and then embellished them with Golden Rod and Purple Stickles. The embossing is made with the Victoria embossing folder. I'm hoping that my DH's Mom likes this. I wanted to make sure it wasn't Christmas so she could use it all year long. You should pop over to Joan's Garden and her check out all the lovely creations for the Heartfelt Creations challenge. They are very impressive! Hope you are inspired by all the wonderful projects! Heartfelt Creations
Good Sunday morning to you! I hope you are well. Winter has come early to our neck of the woods. We got about 5 inches of snow yesterday and we are "walking in a winter wonderland". Can you hear me singing? (I hope not!) This week we are supposed to be very cold for this time of year. Highs only in the 20's so we'll be pulling on the wool this week. LOL!
My card today is for the challenge over at Joan's Garden. You won't want to miss this challenge if you can possibly help it! Joan is giving away over $280 in prizes and that's just the grand prize. There are three other marvelous prizes too! And some of her gues design group are giving prizes in addition to Joan's prizes. The challenge this week is to use Heartfelt Creations stamps. I just recently got two of their sets and they are wonderful stamps!
This is a card I made with the Daisy Patch Swirl stamp set. I used oval Nestabilities and to embellish the card I used a Zva creations pearl swirl that I won from a Zva creations blog hop. The small pearls in the oval are also from the Zva swirl. I just cut them off and placed them on the stamped image. Pop over to Joan's Garden and see what the buzz is all about! I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I'd love to win this one. Have a great Sunday. I'll be back with another Heartfelt Creations project later!
Donna
P.S. Remember I said that some of Joan's design team had blog candy too? Well, Olga has two sets from Heartfelt Creations and a die cit to match! Gotta love it! Here's a peek!
Check out Olga's candy! Very easy to enter and ends December5th. So hurry!
