Beautiful as Ever

One more card for tonight. I needed to get this in the mail for a birthday later this week. I had forgotten about this fall themed Simon Says Stamps set called Give Thanks (retired kit stamp set). But I like the tree.

We have two very large maple trees in our front yard that turn a gorgeous shade of red in the fall. They are usually the last trees to turn in our yard and seem to hold their leaves much longer than the other trees. So that was my inspiration for this card. I used the MFT Inside and Out Rounded Square die set to cut the tree image. The dotted paper is a scrap from my Dueling Darlings kit last month. The layers are backed with red card stock. The base card is yellow. It's difficult to see in this picture but I used the Simon Says Leaf Background stamp and Distress Oxide Squeezed Lemonade ink to create a tone on tone pattern in the background. The sentiment is also difficult to read in the photo. It's from Simon Says Big Birthday Wishes stamp set. The sentiment reads: "Another Birthday & You're Still Just As Beautiful As Ever." I thought it matched the beautiful fall colors. I embellished the card with a number of sequins in fall colors.
