Day 11: J is for Joy

Another busy day. I saw on Beccy's blog that I missed a race. But that's okay because lots of people won a new set from Beccy. I've won already so I am happy for someone else. This morning I spent 3 hours pricing for Opportunity House, a resale shop Tom and I volunteer at  that helps run a pre-school for parents who normally wouldn't be able to afford to send their preschoolers to school. I am the manager of the office supply and craft sections of the store. Tom sorts downstairs as donations come in. I always have way more stuff than I can price at the store so I bring a lot to do home with me. Tomorrow is our day to volunteer at the store so I'll be able to stock a lot of stuff that I priced today. We had our water heater replaced this morning and another company came to give us an estimate on our roof. That will be the next big project before winter sets in. This afternoon I got a bit of time to play at my desk.

The Joy image is from Bugaboo Stamps called Christmas Words - Joy. I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers and added glossy accents to the ornament and Recollection Glitz glitter to the snowflakes. I fussy cut the image using Deja View C-Thru Fancy Frames Template. The designer papers are all from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles: An Eclectic Christmas Silver & Gold (stripes) and An Angelic Nature Mini Kit (stars). The card base is a gray card stock and I finished it off with a sparkly star. I am entering these challenges:
I have a meeting tonight on Zoom so I probably won't get another card tonight. But I am happy with this one. Hope you had a great day today. Stay safe and God bless!

You and Tom are amazing Donna, you're always bringing light to the world. Good on you both for everything you do in your community and for your family, it's always heart-warming to read about your work.
Your Christmas card is gorgeous, I love those pretty, soft colours. The image is fabulous and I love the addition of the big sparkly star! Gorgeous background paper too.
Cheers,
Beccy

What a great thing for you and your hubby to be involved in. We recently had to replace our water heater and I have never been so happy to have hot water after going without it for a day or two! Your card is super cute! Thanks so much for sharing with us at Sketch N Scrap!
