Day 28: Y is for Yellow

I can hardly believe we are at the end of the alphabet already. This month has really flown by. I chose not to do Christmas today because yellow is all about spring and so I made an Easter card.

I kept the card simple. This Easter sunrise scene is from Designed 2 Delight which turned into From the Heart Stamps and then sadly Faith, the owner and designer passed away. But she left behind a ton of gorgeous images like this one. I colored the image with yellows and golden browns from Spectrum Noir. The sentiment is from the same set and inked with Squeezed Lemonade distress ink. I wanted the yellow to pop so I added everything to a black card base. A very simple card. I am entering these challenges:

We are off to our other property for the rest of the weekend today. So I'll have two cards to finish when I return to close out this month of holiday cards challenge. Thanks to Beccy for all the fun and inspiration! Stay safe and God bless!

It was so sad to lose Faith but as you say her images live on. This one is a lovely one. I like your card Donna. I tend to use all sorts of colours on Christmas cards so my yellow one is Christmas! Hope you have a lovely time at your other property.

What a stunning card Donna! The yellow is made brighter by the addition of the black base, the contrast is fabulous! I like the image too, those lilies are lovely.
Cheers,
Beccy

What a beautiful image for an Easter card. I love all the yellow you've used against the black. Beautiful.
