Day 10: I is for Ice Skating

It's been a busy day but I managed to sit down this evening and get this card done.

The image is from Bugaboo Stamps called Sunbonnet Winter. This little skating girl reminds me when we would suit up as kids and ice skate on the pond on the golf course across from our street. I don't every remember wearing a dress though. LOL! I used a monochromatic coloring scheme with Spectrum Noir markers. The background paper is from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles North Pole Paper set. I die cut the image using Gina Marie Designs Wonky Stitched Circles but I did it backwards. The embossed wonky circles are on the dark blue background and they don't show up in the photo unfortunately. The sentiment is computer-generated and die cut with MFT Stitched Ovals (retired) and inked with Salty Ocean Distress ink. I added some Recollections Glitz Glitter around the image to make snowflakes. I couldn't find a stamp that I thought would be small enough for the area around the image. Really happy with how this turned out.
I am entering these challenges:

I mentioned it had been a busy day. I got laundry and dishes done. We cleaned up a bunch of wood pieces leftover from chipping yesterday (too big for the chipper) and stacked them for burning in our fireplace when it gets cold. We took our trailer down to where we chipped and loaded it with chips. Tom took those to our other property to use in our garden out there. I made a trip to the store and the library. I worked on dinner for a while. After Tom got home we mowed the lawn and leaves as it was supposed to rain. And finally we went to one of our local stores to pic up the new front door that we ordered. Now we need to find time to get that put in before it gets too cold. Tomorrow we are getting our water heater replaced and we have a second company coming to give us another quote for a new roof. I am tired just thinking about all we got done today. Thanks for stopping by. Hope you had a productive day. Stay safe and God bless!

Oh my goodness Donna, you've had such a busy few days! Helping around the neighbourhood, babysitting the twins, cooking, shopping and yard work, plus making cards... you must be exhausted! I hope you have a chance to catch up on some rest soon.
Your card is fabulous. I love the image of the little girl on her ice skates, it actually reminds me of those old Holly Hobby drawings from when I was young. I love the snow flake background and all the beautiful shades of blue. Lovely.
Cheers,
Beccy

Super cute card, Donna! The image is so cute and fun - I agree with Beccy - she reminds me of Holly Hobbie! Love your gorgeous background - I thought you inked it yourself - very nice paper by Lisa!
