Humor Me!

Happy Wednesday and oh my, it's February already. Where did January fly off to? The first of the month means a new challenge at the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up. Have you begun your 2017 Christmas Cards yet? Here's the perfect opportunity. This month's theme is anything goes with a twist of holiday humor.
  • Anyone can link up as many Christmas and/or December holiday themed cards (including Happy New Year's cards) throughout the month with an ANYTHING GOES theme.
  • Every person who has linked up a MINIMUM of two (2) cards will be eligible to receive a specially designed Christmas themed digital paper.
  • Each month there will be an OPTIONAL theme to follow.  Anyone who submits a card adhering to the monthly theme, will have the chance to win a prize from that month's guest sponsor.
  • Every holiday card you submit to the link up, earns you one chance to win a special digital Christmas kit that will be offered up after the year is complete.
Whether you choose to use a humourous sentiment, a funny image, or some other element to elicit a smile, a snicker, or a full blown snort, it is totally up to you. In order to have a chance to win the prize from our wonderful guest sponsor this month, make sure that your card has some element of humour. If it isn't readily apparent, be sure to make a note next to the link up so we understand your sense of humour. IMPORTANT: If you do follow the optional theme, be sure to add FT after your name so that we include you in the draw for the prize.

Remember, you don't need to follow the theme to link up your cards and earn a free paper each month, and have your name thrown into the year end draw for some extra digital goodies. You only need to follow the theme if you want a chance to win this month's sponsored prize of a $10.00 gift certificate from Scribbles Designs.

The Christmas themed paper is from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles. Lisa always has such fun paper and this month's paper is no exception. You will see some on my project very shortly.

So on to my project for this challenge. I chose to work with a Scribbles Designs image called Elves @ Work. This elf is just too cute!

I used last Wednesday sketch from The Outlawz but I miscalculated that I'd be able to enter it today into that challenge. Unfortunately it's already passed. But I do like the sketch. My background paper is one of Decosse's Dynamite Doodle paper for this month. I love the cute little elves in their traditional Christmas colors. I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers and die cut it with MFT Cross Stitch Ovals. The sentiment circles are from Bird's Cards and I inked the edges with Fired Brick and Mowed Lawn distress inks. I embellished the image and sentiments with Recollections Silver glitter glue and Diamond Stickles. I finished it off with some red and white Doodle Twine. In case you can't read the sentiment it says: Have Yours-ELF a Merry Little Christmas. Too cute!
I hope you will come and play along at the 12 Month's of Christmas Link Up this month and show off your Holiday Humor!
I am entering these challenges:
That's it for me today. I'm slightly late getting this posted as I've been watching the twins all day today. I'm ready to fall into bed but they are such good babies and exhausting! I'm feeling old as I try to get up off the floor all the time. LOL! Take care!
