Spring Card Class Day 13

This evening I had some fun with today's class lesson. Our instructor today was Cathy Zielske. Her technique was using a word die. I had to adjust a little bit because I didn't have everything that she used.

I used the MFT Smile die to die cut 3 panels. I used the negative panels to make 3 cards and glued the actual die cuts together for the fourth card.

Behind the negative die cut I inked a panel with rainbow colors, all distress oxides: candied apple, wild honey, twisted citron, and salty ocean. Cathy used glitter gel on her rainbow panel. I don't have any of that so I used the glitter embossing powder that I made for a lesson earlier this week. It really gave it a lot of fun glittery shine. Cathy used white card stock for the bases. I did for one of them but used colored card stock for the others. All the inked panels are the same but I turned some of them so the colors ran the other way. I finished the cards by adding some enamel dots.

So I glued 4 die cuts together. (I mistakenly die cut 4 panels and I actually used the fourth die cut to line up the smile die cut on this card. I still have that negative panel to make another card.) The background paper is from Bo Bunny Early Bird Collection. Love this paper. I used MFT More Essential Sentiments to add the secondary sentiment heat embossed on black card stock. I die cut that sentiment with MFT Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strips and then trimmed the ends (as Cathy taught us). Really enjoyed this lesson.
I am entering these challenges:
Thanks for stopping by today. Tomorrow we have the twins so there won't be much crafting going on. But hopefully back to it on Saturday. Be safe please!
