Blooming Botanicals

Greetings! It's been a while for me. Mojo has fled and I can't seem to get back into the rhythm of things since there doesn't seem to be a rhythm anymore. Are you feeling the same way? But it's the first of the month and time for a new challenge at 12 Months of Christmas Link Up. Our challenge is always anything goes as long as it's a Christmas/holiday card. This month we have the awesome Beccy's Place as our sponsor. We do feature an optional twist: this month it's blooming botanicals. Here's my card.

My card features one of the images and a sentiment from In the Christmas Garden from Beccy's Place. I used one of Beccy's tutorials for a Center Step Card to create this one. The image is colored with Spectrum Noir markers and die cut with MFT Stitched Circles.  The sentiment is die cut with one of the die cuts from MFT Blueprints 13 (retired). The designer papers that I used are from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles: Christmas Blooms and Miscellaneous Textured Red and Green.

To finish off the card I added some clear gems on the poinsettia flowers and some red gems around the sentiment. My base card is dark green. I'm really pleased with how this one turned out. Beccy has wonderful tutorials. I hope you'll check them out. And I hope you'll check out what the other designers have made and play along with us this month at 12 Months of Christmas Link Up.
I am supporting these challenges with this card:
I hope to start creating again. We'll see if I can get my mojo back. But I need a couple cards. My DIL's mother broke her hip last weekend and I need to send that off asap. And I have a couple birthdays coming up. Hope you are staying safe (indoors and washing your hands) and healthy. Please take care of you! You are important to me! You are all in my prayers. Thanks for stopping by.

Poinsettias are my favourite Christmas blooms Donna, and you've done a wonderful job keeping them bright and beautiful. Great colouring! I love the background papers you've used too, they work perfectly with the image.

I know what you mean about the rhythm of your days, it's all very different now. I'm finding that a good to do list and a daily schedule is keeping me on track. Also spending some time outdoors in the sunshine helps, even if it's just sitting on the porch for a little while.

I hope you're DIL's mum recovers quickly, a hip fracture is quite a significant injury. I'm sure she'll enjoy receiving a handmade card from you.

Stay safe Donna.
Cheers,
Beccy
