Fun on the Farm

Saturday greetings to you all. It's a hot and muggy weekend in Indiana. So far we haven't turned on the air conditioning and I'm hoping it will cool down soon. It's just too soon to be in the 90s. Today we had training for our Girl Scout day camp coming up at the end of June. I'm always excited to get going on that.

My card today is from a stamp set at Clear Dollar Stamps called Fun on the Farm. This is an adorable set with a little farmer and several barnyard animals and lots of cute little sayings. I made a single layer card that's colored with colored pencils and sponged the background. The only embellishment is the pink grosgrain ribbon. This card is made for two challenges:

  • Clearly iStamp: It's a Birthday Bash so the challenge is to create a birthday card. I forgot to take a pic of the inside of the card but is says: "Wishing you a Happy Birthday! Greetings from the funny farm!" This challenge is good until July 1st so you have plenty of time to play with this one!
  • Flourishes: Their challenge is a one layer card. Not always easy to do and definitely a challenge! You have until Monday evening to play with this challenge.
So there you have it for today. Another hot day on tap tomorrow. Not sure how much time I'll have to create but we'll see how it goes. Hope your weekend is fabulous! Until next time....

Hugs,

Great card Donna! You are so right, single layers are tough, but you did a great job! Thanks for joining us for CIC this month.

Hey Donna! What a wonderful card for those 2 challenges. A one layer card is DEFINITELY a challenge for me, but you did a beautiful job. So glad you joined us this month for the Clearly Inspired Challenge ;D

Such a cute card -- we had 90's here too for days and did have the air-conditioner on -- thankfully, we have had temps in the 70's the last two days -- wish it could stay this way all year long!! Happy crafting!!
