Bee Strong

I have the perfect card today for someone who is struggling in her personal life right now. She's dealing with a lot of issues and I know she needs some encouragement. So when I saw the new progressive challenge stamp from Gerda Steiner I knew what I could do with it. The idea for this particular card hit me in the middle of the night as I was tossing and turning. And I actually remembered it in the morning.

The card is 5 inches square and the top popped up piece is cut at 4 3/4 inches square. I offset that top piece to add the color strip along two sides. It's colored with Spectrum Noir markers to match the green in the bee image. The cut outs are MFT Inside and Out Stitched Rounded Squares. I  used Simon Says Single Rose dies to finish off the card front. The bee image is colored with Spectrum Noir markers. The sentiment come with the stamp set. I really like how this card turned out.
I am entering these challenges:

Thanks for stopping by. I am off to have lunch with my hubby and then babysit for the twins. I sure hope your weekend is extra special for you!

You're right...it is the perfect encouragement card. That sentiment goes so wonderfully with the cute bee and those gorgeous flowers. Sometimes our best ideas come in the middle of the night!! Have a great weekend...TFS

Oops...forgot to say how much I love the window die, and the roses look so pretty stacked over it as you've done the design too.
