Tonight I have two cards for you. It's not often that I have extras to post but I seem to have a bunch that I haven't posted lately. I guess I've been putting more time into my crafting and I'll have any easier time getting my birthday cards out next month. LOL! The first one is a winter card that I made to send to a friend. Since my MIL passed away right before Christmas I didn't get all my Christmas cards out, so I'm trying to play a little catch up and send out some winter cards to those I missed.
The image and sentiment is from the free stamp of the month from DeeDee's Digis. Anyone can grab this one this month. I tried for a monochromatic look; well almost. Two different paper from my scrap box and a snowman winter ribbon. I die cut the image with Spellbinder's Inverted Circles and then added the sentiment. I used the Paper Players Sketch.
I am entering my card into these challenges:
- DeeDee's Stamp of the Month: use the stamp of the month set
- The Paper Players: sketch
Now for the second:
This was the original card I made for the Outlawz CAS challenge this week. (It's anything goes and it's easy to play along.) But the first one had a lot of glue marks on. I made a second one and had a stray coloring mark, so I finally made an entirely different card for the challenge. I've cleaned these up a bit so I can use them though. I used the ek Success punch and inlaid the pieces together in different color combinations. I stamped the envelope and sentiment from the Gina K stamp set. And to finish it off I have these little sparkly hearts that I won in a blog candy and I sprinkled them around the card.
I am entering these challenges:
- Simon Says challenge: have a heart
- Hiding in my Craft Room: any holiday
- Sentimental Sunday: anything goes
Well, that's finally it for tonight. It was much longer than I usually go on. Hope your week is off to a great start. Be safe and warm wherever you are.
Love both of your cards. Your penguin is so cute.
Love all your fabulous cards and glad you was able to clean up the last two cos they are too good to throw away.
Thank you for joining us at Simon says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.
I love your cards this morning! I have used little bits and things to hide smudge marks on a card myself. It's a saving grace I think!
Such cute cards, I love that ice fishing image. What a fun card! Thanks for playing along at The Paper Players this week!
Both cards are darling, Donna! I really like the wintery scene you created around the penguin on your "Ice Fishing" card, and that darling snowman ribbon. The die you used to cut the image gives this a fun look, too. Thanks so much for joining the challenge at Deedee's Digis! You didn't include your email address in your link, so could you please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org so that I can send you your promised gift code, along with next month's set, for playing? Thanks, and I hope you'll come play with us again next month! :-)
Adorable cards, I love the mini envelope stamp and your colors. Thank you for joining us this week at HIMCR.
