We took a break from the alphabet once again at Beccy's Month of Holiday Cards and our challenge was to Try Something New. So I went to Beccy's Tutorial page, and started at the top and right away I thought "I haven't done and accordian card." But it looked so simple that I didn't think it would be much of a challenge. So I continued down the list and I found the Building Block Tutorial. Similar to an accordian card, this tutorial added an extra punch.
I just loved how this came out! I used two different Beccy's Place stamp sets: Lamb of God and Poinsettia stamps sets. The sentiment on the front is from the Lamb of God set and the sentiment on the inside is from the Poinsettia stamp set. Since the base card is yellow, I used a darker green for layering and left the top layers white. The "Noel" die cuts are from Spellbinder's Holiday Greetings background die (retired). Hope you like this as much as I do. I'll definitely be trying this again! I am entering these challenges:
- Beccy's Month of Holiday Cards Day 12: try something new
- Crafty Hazelnut Christmas: anything goes
- 2 Crafty Critter Crazies: use a critter
- Through the Craft Room Door: anything goes

What a beautiful card Donna, you've done a fabulous job putting it together. I love that you've used the poinsettias in the centre of the card. The yellow "building blocks" are awesome! At first glance I thought you had added a light source to make them glow, but then realised that it's the overhead lamp combined with the gorgeous yellow card stock. Beautiful!
Cheers,
Beccy
WOW...Donna this is just stunning, love the images and the card style, hugs, Lori m
This is stunning Donna. Love the yellow (one of my fave colours). I like that you added a yellow glow around Jesus' head too.
This card is amazing. You did a wonderful job with it. Outstanding.....
I too love the addition of the yellow building blocks - Great choice. Really nice card!
What a beautiful design!!! I normally shy away from special fold cards but this one is so pretty I may have to give it a go! So many pretty details to your card!!! Thank you so much for sharing this with us at 2CCC and I hope you'll be back again with your next critter creation.

Donna this is absolutely stunning. I love the poinsettia stamps, it is a lovely set isn't it?
I am embarrassed to admit I haven't tried that style of card and it looks so much easier than I thought it would be.
You may have just inspired me to have a go as I need to catch up with some of my cards for Beccy's challenge.
Thank you very much for entering your lovely card into our challenge. Good luck with the prize draw.
Stay healthy, happy, keep crafting and Creating Joy :)
