Totally Pawsome

Happy Monday! A last day of vacation for some today. My husband will go back to work tomorrow. So he took the shift with the kids today so I got some time to craft and catch up on a few chores here at home. My youngest Steve left this afternoon to begin his travels to Boston and to start his new job. So our house is suddenly empty after all the hustle and bustle of the holidays. Our decorations are still up/ The twins love to watch the lights so I've been slow at putting things away. Maybe I'll leave things up until the Three Kings visit.
I needed one more thank you card to finish off my Christmas thank yous. I know this card doesn't have anything to do with Christmas but the recipients have a dog that they love a lot. So I thought this was appropriate.

The dog is a Bugaboo image but I was unable to find it on the sight so it may be a retired image. I colored him with Copic and Bic markers. The image is doe cut with MFT's Stitched Circles. The sentiment is from Squigglefly, who has unfortunately closed their doors. I die cut the sentiment with a Spellbinder's Ribbon Tag Trio 2 die and attached it with a piece of red ribbon. I then added a paw print from Paper Smooches using a die cut and then stenciled the paw on the card stock with Gathered Twigs distress ink. The designer paper in the background is Cat Pack Digi Papers from Imagine That Digis by Kris! Yeah, I know my image is a dog but I can't tell the difference between cat and dog paws. I'm sure someone can but I was using up scraps that I already had printed. I backed the layers with dark brown card stock.
I am entering these challenges:

Someone reminded me that I haven't written about the twins' Baptism. Lots of family showed up for the Mass and the twins were perfect. They slept through the entire ceremony. We couldn't believe it. Here's a picture of them at the ceremony right after they were baptized.

Arthur is closest and Valerie is the farther baby. Here's some pics taken before the ceremony. Valerie wore her mother's Baptismal outfit that was made from material from my wedding dress. Arthur wore the same outfit that both my boys wore for their Baptisms. That material was left over from my SIL's wedding dress. It was so cool to have them wearing these for the ceremony.

This is Valerie.

This is Arthur.
And one last picture taken as the same day of their Baptism. My daughter wanted some pictures fro Christmas in their Christmas outfits. We then made a collage that she gave out as presents this year.

Arthur and Valerie under our Christmas tree.
Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out what I am up to. I need to catch up with chores around the house tomorrow. But hopefully will get some time to play. I am looking forward to getting back to something resembling normal, whatever that might be. Hugs to you all!

Donna

What a darling card Donna. And what adorable pics. It is wonderful to use the fabric from the wedding dress - love to hear of such recycled items. They are getting so big. You will have to get some Valentine heart lights, hehe.

Donna, those twins are adorable! Isn't it so fun having babies at Christmas! We had our little grand baby baptized this fall and Christmas was delightful! It's so beautiful how the twins wore sentimental gowns/clothes for their baptisms. I'm sure you will agree, this grandma stuff is great!!
