I used the diagonal line starting at the top left corner (birthday theme, Bugaboo image, and no designer paper). I stenciled my background using MFT One Way Chevron stencil. It was the closest I had to making waves. I tried to make it an ombre effect with different colors of blue distress ink. Starting from the bottom: faded jeans, broken china, mermaid lagoon and salty ocean. The image is $1 dolphin image from Bugaboo. I printed and colored him twice and then fussy cut him out. Sometimes I don;t color things the way I like but these guys turned out really nice. The sentiment was originally from Birdie Brown who closed her shop several years ago. Her sentiment just said day at the bottom and I changed it to birthday. I die cut the sentiment with MFT Stitched Circles and then inked the circle with more distress ink. This one is my favorite so far for the challenges. I'm really thrilled with how it turned out.
I am entering these challenges:
- Catch the Bug Under the Sea: bingo (birthday, Bugaboo image, no patterned paper)
- Inspiration Destination: anything goes
- Through the Craft Room Door: anything goes
- Simon Says Work it Wednesday: use a new product (I'd never used the stencil before)
- Get Creative challenge: anything goes
Day 5 challenge is to make a humorous card.
I am out of belated birthday cards (because I forget too often!) so I decided to make a belated birthday and make a punny card. I love punny sentiments.
I used Bugaboo's frog image and colored him with Copics. Pretty easy peasy. Then I used MFT Cloud Day Stencil to create the sky. I masked off the bottom section to create the pond. I used Salty Ocean and Mermaid Lagoon as the distress inks. The sentiment is from a retired Stampin' Up! set called Unfrogettable. Very CAS card.
I am entering these challenges:
- Catch the Bug Under the Sea: make it a "funny" birthday
- Tuesday Throwdown: favorite medium (Copics and distress inks)
- QKR Stampeded challenge: CAS
That's it for me today. I have a long day with the twins. They are always fun but I do wish they'd get over these colds. I hate to hear them struggle with breathing and such stuffy noses. Happy hump day! Heading toward the weekend.

I instantly loved your bingo card too. Both actually. These are both age and gender neutral, I love that about a design. Thanks for sharing, so glad to see you join our birthday event at Catch the Bug! Pia, Bugaboo DT member

Wonderful ards, Donna!
The dolphins are so sweet and I like your design there.
I have a similar frog stamp from Stampin' Up and also use it for Delated Birthday cards.
Both cards are adorable, but I love the dolphin design. A really fun idea combining the dolphin around the sentiment. Thanks so much for joining the Bugaboo Birthday Bash this week!
Great creations. Love both of your cards. Thanks for joining us for our Birthday Bash this week at Bugaboo. Good Luck.

Wonderful cards Donna! I really love the dolphins and the little frog is so cute. Great job!
I received my happy mail today. Thank, you, thank you, thank you!!! I love everything, how generous! I especially love the sweet little kitty in the tea cup, two of my favorite things!
I know you are enjoying those sweet little ones! They are so precious. Ruby has learned about 16 words in sign language and spoke a word in Spanish the other day. She is absolutely amazing!
Again, thank you so much and have a wonderful evening!
Hugs,
Pam
