Here's how I made the card. For the background I used the Neat & Tangled Star Stencil and tried to use the ombre affect by using Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio distress ink. I colored the image from Tickell Expressions with Copics and Spectrum Noir pens. The sentiment is from Bits of Paper blog. All of Jamie's word art is free and you can find it here. I die cut it from a Quikcutz tag die.The card base is dark blue card stock and I used the same card stock to back the elements on the front of the card. For the sentiment I used the hearts from the Simon Says Stamp set called I Only Have Eyes for You (retired). It's difficult to see but their is a stitched heart outline over the word heart. I used a ribbon and knot for some embellishment. Since one of my resolutions this year is t finish the inside of cards when I make them, here is the inside of this card also.
My title for my post makes more sense when you see the inside of the card. The sentiment is computer-generated. I added the sign post from Gina K Happy Camper (retired) colored with Bic and Spectrum Noir pens. I added an arrow die cut from a Momenta Arrow die and a heart from Spellbinder's Classic Hearts dies. This is a new beginning, a new road ahead, for them. I wanted to wish them safe travels as they navigate their new life in a new city. There is one very good thing for them. My other son lives in Boston so he will be able to help get them acquainted with everything. And the plus for us is that we only have to go one place to see both our boys now. (But no more trips to Florida, bummer! Well at least not to see Steve and Anne.)
I am entering these challenges:
- Path of Positivity challenge: the road ahead
- Happy Little Stampers die challenge: anything goes with dies
- Simply Create Too: new beginnings
- Work it Wednesday challenge: use a new product (Momenta Arrow dies are new for me)
- Simon Says Monday challenge: spread your wings
Since the doctor told me to take it easy today I got to play. It's back to routine tomorrow. I miss the twins as I haven;t seen them for a couple days. We'll be back together again tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by.

Love this card too! Your image is perfect- that is quite a move and in the middle of winter as well! Your inside is perfect! I have a brother that lives in a suburb of Boston : )
Awwww! What a tender card! I love how you personalized it so specifically for your son and DIL. I think you created such a lovely scene and I like how you made the inside of the card as lovely as the outside. I thought it was especially clever of you to add the arrow and heart to the sign! You did a fantastic job and I'm so glad you shared your talents with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
What a lovely card. I hope they are all settled now in their new home. Thank you so much for joining us at HLS Anything Goes With A Die.
