Christmas Thinking of You

Happy mid week! So glad to be on the down-side of the week. We are pretty busy at work. Never enough time to get it all done. But it's always still waiting for me the next morning. LOL! Where are those little elves that helped the shoemaker? I could use a few of those.
Tonight I have another progressive challenge digital stamp. This one is for a Christmas progressive challenge over at DigiStamps4Joy. And bummer I am too late to add it in. I forgot they are in a different time zone. But here it is anyway!
The image is from DigiStamps4Joy colored with Copics and I embossed a Studio G sentiment in gold embossing powder. I didn't have a Merry Christmas sentiment that was small enough to fit in the space but I think this one works fine!. The Christmas paper is from Echo Park and I used a Spellbinder's frame die for the background. I added some twine and three of the Die-namics buttons, two with red pearls and one tied with the twine. I used the Tuesday Morning Sketch as my inspiration.

So I am entering these challenges:
That's it for tonight. Thanks for stopping by today!

Winter into Spring

Man, where does my time go these days? I am not finding time to craft very often. And I still haven't gotten my blogs back from Feedburner. Grrrr! I am really missing some of my favorite blogs. So if I haven't been around to see you lately it isn't because I don't want to. I am just not very good at remembering all of them without that email reminder. That's why I prefer to subscribe. And I can't find a way to contact them to try to figure out the problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
I am trying to get my progressive challenges in before the end of the month. I do like to keep up with them. So here is one of the progressive challenges that I do.
This gorgeous image is from From the Heart Stamps called Spring Medley. I just love it and the sentiment! It was such a long winter this year so this is just perfect! I used a Fiskar's border punch and the Victoria embossing folder with the ribbon embellishment. The image is colored with Copics.
So I am entering these challenges:
Thanks for stopping by today. Hope your week is going well. We are headed for a cool down but as long as the snow doesn't make a return appearance I won't complain.

Using up Scraps

Yesterday I saw a similar card to this over on OWH's blog and just had to try it. So I kind of watched the video tutorial and then ran from there. Great way to use up scraps and use some of the border punches that don;t get enough use. I really like this one!

These aren't my usual colors but I think it turned out well. I always have trouble matching papers together. I can never decide which ones look right. The sentiment and flowers is from the February 2014 Simon Says Stamp Kit. I heat embossed the sentiment. Each of the layers is popped up with very thin pop dots so it's got some height to it but it's still very mailable. I am going to use this as a birthday card and add a birthday sentiment to the inside.

I am still missing all my Feedburner blogs that I used to get by email. It's really making me frustrated. And I can't figure out how to unsubscribe to  resubscribe. And when I try to subscribe again it says I am already subscribed. Makes me want to scream.
Tomorrow is mt Friday this week. I took Friday off to help my husband tile the bathroom. We gutted it and now we have the new tub in so we have to tile the walls around the tub. Trying to get things together before the wedding in September.
Thanks for stopping by today. Hope it was a good one for you and looking ahead to the weekend! Wishing you lots of sunshine!

Buttercup Birthday

I know it's been eons since I've posted and eons since I've actually created a card. I just haven't had the motivation lately to create much of anything. But I hope that I am getting back on track at least a little bit. I did make a card last night for my aunt's birthday.

The image is buttercups from Doodle Pantry and the sentiment is from Hero Arts. I used lots of die cuts on this card. The circle, embossed background, the bow and the sentiment piece are all from Die-Namics Blueprint 3. The embossing is the Victoria Cuttlebug folder and the rest is just layering. I added a button for embellishment.

Thanks for hanging in with me. I am still loving the class that I am taking for the diabetes prevention but my weight loss has stalled out for the last three weeks. I saw the university dietician today and she told me I am not eating enough so I have to up my calorie intake. Now who ever heard of that when you are trying to lose weight. But I guess it must be true. Also went to see the doctor about my hip this afternoon. We are going to continue the meds for a few more weeks before we try therapy.
I so need someone's help! I have lost all my blogs from Feedburner that I normally get my email. So I am no longer getting some of your blogs and I miss them greatly. If anyone has any idea as to why they suddenly disappeared or how to get them back I would be so grateful for any ideas. When I searched for feedburner it just brings uo my account since that's what's on this blog and not other things I am subscribed to. I am really frustrated. Any help would be so appreciated.
I hope your week is off to an awesome start. Thanks for stopping by today!

Easter Egg

I wanted to get on my computer last night but my husband was using it to do our taxes. And tomorrow night my daughter will be over to do her taxes using my computer so I better get my card posted tonight or I won't get to post it for a while. LOL! The weekend will be busy since Tom's parents will be visiting and we'll be out at Baby Creek without Internet access. So I'm working on some Easter cards to send.

Isn't this fun. I found this scrap of designer paper that I used on my in-laws Christmas cards. So I matched some of the colors from it to make the layers. The image is from Bugaboo Stamps. The sentiment is part of Studio G Easter stamp that also has a little duck on it. I covered the duck before inking and after I had the sentiment inked I pulled the tape off and stamped the sentiment. The Easter eggs are another stamp that has 5 eggs on it with various patterns. It's also a Studio G stamp. I stamped them on a scrap of card stock and colored them with a mixture of Copics and Bic markers. I added a faux stitched border around the image after I distressed the edges with Squeezed Lemonade Distress ink. I am entering these challenges:
The paper has arrived that I ordered for my daughter's wedding invitations. I can start folding and make a mock up for her to see. We also have any idea for the centerpieces that I am excited about. If you have any ideas for  favors we can use I'd be thrilled to hear about them. The these is Moments of Magic and her colors are cornflower blue and silver.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope the first half of your week has gone well. Here's to an awesome second half and weekend!

Bloom

Where does the time go? I rarely get time to craft any more. This weekend was a wedding out of town and cleaning my house. I miss my crafting time. I did get one quick card done for a swap. It was a flower swap.

The daffodils are just starting to peek out there pretty flowers around here so I thought this image by Ann Fenton would be perfect. It was last Thursday's free image and it's still free so you can check it out at the link. I colored it with Copic Markers: Y11, Y13,YG03 and YG13. I distressed the edges with Stampin' Up Certainly Celery. The background embossing is my favorite embossing folder Victoria. The designer paper is K&Company Citronella. The sentiment is from a Gina K set.  I added a ribbon with knot. I really liked how this turned out.

It rained all day today. Very gloomy! The medication for my hip helps but ti seems to wear off by the end of the day. My leg still goes numb so he thought maybe it was a pinched nerve. I have to go back to the doctor in a few weeks so hopefully they will look at them then. He wanted to see if the medication would take care of it. it helps but it certainly hasn't cured it. I am thankful though they it isn't worse. I can still walk and get around. The last two weeks I have just been maintaining my weight loss and no more downward movement of the scale numbers. Maybe this week. Thanks for stopping by. I am hoping to get some craft time in this week. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Deepest Sympathy

I'm not sure why I don't make sympathy cards ahead of time. I always hate making them when I need them but it never occurs to me to make them ahead. But I needed one tonight for a friend who lost her mother over the weekend.

The image is from Beccy's Place. It's a pre-colored image which makes putting these kinds of cards together very easy. The sentiment is from a set that I won in a blog candy. There was no markings to tell which company the set came from but it has lots of nice sentiments in it. I kept it very simple.

Challenges:
My doctor's appointment yesterday went okay. He decided to try anti-inflammatory drugs before trying more expensive methods. He said that the MRI didn't show anything wrong so he is thinking maybe it's tendonitis. So if this works it will be an easy fix. I am keeping my fingers crossed.
Hope your weather is as lovely. Ours is rainy. We've had an inch of rain so far today. But they are predicting 3-4 inches by Friday. Wishing you a warm breeze and lots of sunshine! Thanks for stopping by!
