New Technique

Welcome and happy Monday to you! Hope the start of your week was wonderful! Just a quick post tonight.

As a swap in my Making Greeting Cards group our challenge was to try out the Water Stamping Technique. I had not tried this before so this was a challenge. It actually takes some practice and I obviously need to practice some more. LOL! This is the card I sent to my swap partner (Hi Valerie!)

The pre-colored image is from Doodle Pantry called Bluebonnets. The sentiment is from TLC Creations. Here’s the link to the directions to the Water Stamping Technique. I will definitely be trying this again. It was lots of fun. I used Stampin’ Up! Ink. That background stamp is from Clear Dollar Stamps. The ribbon is from my stash. I used Spellbinder’s dies to cut the sentiment and scalloped backing.

I am entering this into the Lawnscaping Challenge:

Hope you will check out this challenge and try something new and fun this week!
Thanks for stopping by. Wednesday morning I'll have a special Doodle Pantry entry as we sponsor a special challenge for Operation Write Home. Come back and see what the fun is all about.

It's a beautiful card. I love the blu motif background. Is this the part that the new technique was used. I'm a little confused. Being on my iPad I didn't see the link...hummm..I'm a very confused girl this morning..haha
