Happy Weekend! Baby, it's cold outside. It hurts to breathe when you are outside. I had to go back to the doctor today. I've had an infection since shortly after Thanksgiving. I've been on 3 rounds on antibiotics but according to today's test I still have the infection. So I am starting another round of more powerful antibiotics that lasts for 14 days. Ugh! Cross your fingers that this will work this time.
My card tonight is a card that I made with distress ink and a water mister. And I used a new technique that I saw on a video.
The Thanks die that I used is from Simon Says Stamps. I inked the watercolor paper with different colors of distress ink. And then I misted the paper with some water and left it dry. I cut the thanks die from the water color paper and then cut 4 other layers of thanks to pop it up from the card, using the colored layer for the top to match the background. It's a little tedious layering the die layers but I love the finished product.
I am entering these challenges:
- Outlawz Saturday challenge: make your own background
- Through the Craft Room Door: anything goes
- Love to Create: anything goes
I hope you are staying warm wherever you are. Hopefully it will warm up again soon. Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by.

omword! this is absolutely gorgeous! you are brave to even try it. i love the look i've been seeing about die cut words that blend into the background. i've no clue how to do it and i'm not a fan of videos as my speakers don't work on my computer.
yikes. sure hope you get better soon. i was sick last year - nov til april. it was not fun. will pray for a speedy recovery.
the 20's are coming. wow! a heat wave!
stay warm.
hugs :)
Beautiful! love the end result of all the layering with the die cut. Thanks for popping over to my blog and leaving comments. The one with the little red heart embossed piece is a embossing folder.
Hope you feel better soon and this round of meds help get rid of it.
Wonderful! I've done layering and yes it is tedious but look at the great outcome....love the spray effect. I finally bought some water color paper...now you have inspired me to USE it...haha
Donna, I love the choice of colors and your blending is wonderful. Love how this works with the sentiment it really pops it out. Thanks for sharing.

Oh dear, I'm sorry to hear that your infection has hung on soooo long! I'll pray that this round of antibiotics works for you!!
Gorgeous card! I love it! This is such a neat technique!
Awesome! Love the rainbow colors and the technique! You could always create another card with a tutorial and have it published in TTCRD magazine for the next issue. Think about it and Thank you for sharing with TTCRD this week and please play again.
