First, let me say before I forget, that all of my East Coast friends are on my mind tonight. I'll be praying for you all as the storm moves through. My son usually is in Boston but he's away on another assignment for work. I talked with his girlfriend this evening. She is safe and warm and not planning on going anywhere. I hope you too stay safe and warm if you are in the path of the storm.
Tonight I have two cards for you. It's not often that I have extras to post but I seem to have a bunch that I haven't posted lately. I guess I've been putting more time into my crafting and I'll have any easier time getting my birthday cards out next month. LOL! The first one is a winter card that I made to send to a friend. Since my MIL passed away right before Christmas I didn't get all my Christmas cards out, so I'm trying to play a little catch up and send out some winter cards to those I missed.
The image and sentiment is from the
free stamp of the month from
DeeDee's Digis. Anyone can grab this one this month. I tried for a monochromatic look; well almost. Two different paper from my scrap box and a snowman winter ribbon. I die cut the image with Spellbinder's Inverted Circles and then added the sentiment. I used the
Paper Players Sketch.
I am entering my card into these challenges:
Now for the second:
This was the original card I made for the
Outlawz CAS challenge this week. (It's anything goes and it's easy to play along.) But the first one had a lot of glue marks on. I made a second one and had a stray coloring mark, so I finally made an entirely different card for the challenge. I've cleaned these up a bit so I can use them though. I used the ek Success punch and inlaid the pieces together in different color combinations. I stamped the envelope and sentiment from the
Gina K stamp set. And to finish it off I have these little sparkly hearts that I won in a blog candy and I sprinkled them around the card.

Well, that's finally it for tonight. It was much longer than I usually go on. Hope your week is off to a great start. Be safe and warm wherever you are.
Hugs,
Donna
