Birthday Bear

Happy Friday! The weekend is almost here. Yippee! I volunteered the last two days and had a blast. Most of the volunteers are much older than I am but it's fun to be out and talking to adults again rather than just singing and talking to 6 month olds. LOL! (AlthoughI do love that too!) Yup, the twins were 6 months old yesterday. Time is flying by. They just recently started eating cereal so I thought I'd share pictures of their first experience.

Valerie

Arthur
Arthur is quite the eater and Valerie is getting the hang of it, but she isn't sure if she likes the texture of the cereal or maybe it's the taste. I'm not sure. But it has helped them sleep better through the night. Next week they go back for their 6 month check up so we'll see how they are doing then.
Since it was their 6 month birthday I had to make a birthday card!

That little bear is the Stamp of the Month at Gerda Steiner Progressive challenge. He is such a cutie and fun to color with Spectrum Noir markers.  I paired him with my very first (NBUS) layering heart die that I bought at Simon Says Stamps. I cut a bunch of these in different colors before I decided on this combination. You can make so many combination with this. I popped the bear up off the kraft cardstock. The die cut part of the sentiment is Simon Says Painted Happy Birthday die (NBUS) and the "friend" is part of the Pen Pal Bear Stamp Set. I inked the friend sentiment with Spun Sugar distress ink and popped it up too. So cute! I love this card. Happy 6 month birthday, my beautiful grand babies.
I am entering these challenges:
I want to thank all those who have given me suggestions for picture editors. I've found several and I'll try them all out before I decide which one to really work with. So far I am excited about the ones I've tried. Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Thanks for stopping by.

It was hard for me to move on to your card, Donna, cuz I was caught up in happy memories of when my twin grandsons were at that age! The photos are fantastic! Valerie is looking like, "How dare you stick that vile stuff in my mouth," and Arthur is one cool dude about it and loving it! Absolutely adorable and fitting expressions!

Your card is really adorable, too! Not AS adorable, but pretty darn cute with that sweet bear and warmly colored heart! I love that you used a kraft card base! Thank you so much for joining in my NBUS Challenge #11!! Can't wait to see your boo-boo! Hugs, Darnell

Donna, that layering heart is GORGEOUS! You are so sweet to celebrate a half birthday, but that is what Grandmas are for...to spoil them!!! They are getting so big and even more adorable. Give them a hug from me. Want to squeeze those cheeks, hehehe.

what little dolls. feels like you're playing huh? until they have their little tantrums! don't cha love being a gramma???

great card.

yeah, the kia soul is small for a family but great for a single person. i love it.

warm up on the way. i need to get me a lawn mower or find a lawn service. i really want a lawn mower because who can afford the $20 - $25 a wk for 4 months??? that adds up and my neighbor is iffy on doing it again for me. i'm sure, tho, i can talk him into it.

have a great week.

prayers that the eye floater diminishes. i was told i have the start of a cataract. i have a black spot that i see all the time. it's like a bug that flies in front of me all the time. don't know if that's the cataract or not. hasn't gotten bigger or anything, the spot is just always there. always somethin'

hugs :)

Adorable! The card too ;) I love the color scheme on it. I have three year old twins and I remember how different their reactions were to their first foods!
