Surprise Sweetie

Happy Sunday! It's a gray day here although we haven't had any rain today. We had 2 inches of rain over the last 2 days. It's chilly but not enough to freeze. Today I have the pleasure of being the Surprise Sweetie over at {Cupcake Inspirations} challenge. This week's challenge is a color challenge: gold, midnight and aquamarine.

Here's my card:
No stamps on this card. These are all dies from Paper Smooches. Snowflakes and a Merry Christmas die. The background is a gold lame film paper. It was difficult to work with. The blue is left over scraps from my daughter's wedding. Some of the snowflakes and the Merry Christmas is popped up with fun foam (a technique I learned from Jennifer McGuire). A pretty simple card but a tough card to work with. It took me a lot of time to get everything lined up perfectly. Thank you to the design team over at {Cupcake Inspirations} challenge for picking me as this week's Surprise Sweetie!
I am entering these challenges:
Hope your Sunday is relaxing and crafty. Thanks for stopping by. Hope your week will get off to a great start.

Well done on your beautiful card Donna, the colour combination is fabulous. I really like the gorgeous snowflake dies you used too.
On a personal note, please accept my sincere condolences for the recent loss in your family. I was very sad to read about it Donna, and I will keep you all in my thoughts.
Cheers,
Beccy

I love Jennifer's foam idea, and it works for card backs too, when you want some dimension, but not bother with all the bits of foam tape. This is so pretty, the blue looks wonderful against that shimmery background. Loving the snowflake shapes & the varied sizes. I hope you & your family are feeling a little comfort just now. Saying some prayers that you will be. Hugs & TFS
