Under the Weather

Happy Sunday! Are you a football fan and ready for the play offs? We'll probably be watching today. My Colts aren't in there but I'll be routing for Denver for sure. Of course Peyton Manning was a Colt for a long time but I just don't want the Patriots in the Super Bowl again. My son lives in Boston and he says it's just unbearable there if the Pats get into the Super Bowl. And don't get me started on how much cheating the Pats have gotten away with over the years. Anywho, onto more important things. How about a card! Given the nasty weather around the country I think there must be lots of people under the weather (literally and figuratively). If you are one, I hope you are safe and warm.

This is a stamp set called Drenched at From the Heart Stamps. I colored the image with Copic and Bic markers. The background is water colored with Salty Ocean distress ink. I thought it kind of looked like a big puddle with splashes of rain. The banners are die cut with MFT Pierced Fishtail Flags in two sizes. The image is doe cut with MFT Cross Stitched Ovals. I used the i {heart} sketches with a twist #135. The twist for this week was to add something from nature. If you count rain as something that Mother Nature sends our way then you could say I used the twist too.

I am entering these challenges:
I'm sending this card to me brother who isn't doing very well. I just want him to know I'm thinking of him often. Hope it brings him a smile. Thank you for stopping by my blog. I aapreciate your time and comments. Have a wonderful Sunday!

Had to chuckle at your Pat's comments, as we have friends in Boston. It's a national day of mourning if they lose a game. I don't follow sports so don't get that involved in any of it! Your water effects turned out spectacularly. Looks so good with this cute image, and I love your thinking on the 'under the weather' - good to have a stash of cards like this to hand. Really pretty colors to go on this one too. We had snow, but nothing like our Northern folks did. It's so rare here in SCarolina, that it's just Exciting Big Deal. Fortunately we could stay inside, and just look at it, and our electricity stayed on too. TFS & have a great week. Hugs
