I water colored two sheets of water color paper with the same colors of distress ink: abandoned coral, fossilized amber, peacock feathers and salty ocean. I used the block method where you added the ink to the block and then spritz it with water and stamped the block to the water color paper. It was interesting that I used the same colors on each paper but the papers turned out very different. I used the MFT Pierced Stars that I bought a while ago for the first time. The sentiment is the same one I used on last night's card that I won as a blog candy. I tried to match the color in the stars with the background card stock. I embossed the white background with the Flourishes embossing folder. I used the Try Stampin' on Tuesday sketch for inspiration.
I'm going to send this card to the Lasting Hearts Card Drive that Jennifer McGuire is having to support those families who lose a child from miscarriage. Losing a child can be devastating and since we lost our grandson last year this was a great opportunity to give back. I hope you'll check it out.
I am entering these challenges:
- Try Stampin' on Tuesday: sketch
- Crafty Sentiment Designs: anything goes
- Creative Knockouts: embossing delights
Thanks for stopping by today. I appreciate your support. Make it an awesome Wednesday.

The coloring of these stars looks so cool! Thanks for joining us at Try Stampin' on Tuesday this week, this is a great interpretation of our sketch! Crystal
Great choice on your colors and they turned out really nice. Like that you used stars instead of ovals, the swirls for the embossing folder look wonderful and the teal for the layers picks up the color nicely.
Hugs Pat
