One for my Mom

Monday is almost history. I can't believe how fast it went. I organized my yarn today. Almost got it all done. Just a little more to go. I did have an image colored so I made this quick card tonight.

So this is one for my Mom. She loved pansies. She used to say their little faces were so cute. Pansies and Gladiolas always remind me of her. This image is from Imagine That! called Teacup Pansies. I colored the image with Copic markers and die cut the image with MFT Cross Stitch Ovals. I backed the image with yellow card stock die cut with Spellbinders Beaded Ovals. The purple plaid background paper is Purple Tartan Paper by Create with TLC. The sentiment is one that I won in a blog candy and no way to know where it came from. But I really love it. I die cut it with MFT Pierced Fishtail Flags and inked it with Mustard Seed distress ink. To finish off I added some self-adhesive purple rhinestones.
I am entering these challenges:

That's my quickie for this Monday. I hope your week has started off on the right foot. Make it a wonderful week. Thanks for stopping by.

Good for you on sorting your yarn. It's always a good feeling when you get things where you can find them and not in a mess. This is just such a happy feeling card. Love pansies anyway (we have them here in the winter - although I've not put any out for a couple winters! I love the yellow. So cheery on a gray day). These look wonderful with the purple faces shining out of the pretty teacup. Also love that gorgeous purple plaid background!! Love the die choices and the way you've done the banner sentiment. A perfect Thinking about you card. Good job! TFS & Hugs.
