Happy Memorial Day to all my U.S. friends. Please take a minute to remember all those who lost their lives or served our country. Today I remember my two brothers and one sister who served our country. Fortunately, they all returned safely, but I thank them and all the other men and women who have served our country no matter what the outcome.
My card today uses a Digital Delights image of Ridley Raccoon. I used a technique called Reversed Nestabilities to make the card look like a shadow box. I colored the image with Sharpie markers and embossed the background with the argyle Cuttlebug folder. The sentiment is from the Gina K set Inside and Out.
I punched the flowers with the Boho flower punch from Stampin' Up! and the greenery is also a punch but I'm not sure from who.
I used the same embossing folder to emboss the inside of the card also. This sentiment is also from Gina K Inside and Out.
This card works for several challenges:
Flourishes blog: use a homemade flower on your project.
Delightful Sketches: use texture on your creation.
I really like the way this one turned out. Check out the challenges and join in if you can! Have a lovely week and stop back and see me soon.
Inky hugs,
Donna
