Santa is Coming to Town

Happy stormy Sunday! Tornado sirens went off twice this afternoon. We've had almost 2inches of rain in the last 24 hours. I don't know that there was any damage in the area. I hope your weather has been better today.
My youngest left on Friday morning to move to Florida for a new job. So for the first time in our lives we find ourselves as empty nesters. We spent most of the weekend out at Baby Creek but I returned home this morning to a very empty house. While I got a lot of house work done it was too quiet. I miss him already! But Steve found an apartment in Florida and he'll be ready for us next weekend when Tom and I move all of his stuff. Next weekend will be lots of heavy lifting and driving.
Santa is coming to town; lots faster than I would like. And I am no where near ready for it. But here is another Christmas card I made.
Santa is on a tag or bookmark that's tucked behind the sentiment. The image is from DigiStamps4Joy oops Fred She Said. The sentiment is from a defuncted stamp company. I embossed the sentiment with gold embossing powder. The designer paper is from Doodle Pantry. I used some faux stitching on the tag and some doodling on the right edge of the card. Santa has lots of sparkle from Diamond Stickles. Here's a better pic of Santa.
I am entering these challenges:
I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I have a four day work week this week as we'll be leaving for Florida. Make it a super week! Happy crafting!

Donna

this is super! love that it's a bookmark. congrats on becoming empty nesters. i'm sure it'll be hard with the holidays coming, but once you get that taste..... just enjoy it!!!

i was in church when the storm hit... at least the high winds and heavy rains. driving home the hail came and i prayed. i do that alot in storms like this... especially living in a modular (glorified trailer) home. i pray, cry and panic (yeah, in that order too). but all turned out well. praise GOD.

happy monday!

Fantastic card! Love the Santa image and that your little tag is removable. Glad to hear that that storms didn't cause and damage in your area. It sounds like there was some really nasty weather.

Thanks for joining us at Try Stampin' on Tuesday. Hope to see you again soon!

He's a lovely Santa Donna, so cute! I love how you've added the tag to the front of the card so the recipient also gets a lovely little gift.
Cheers,
