Tilda with Roses for CPS Challenge

I feel like I've been away from my blog forever. Glad to be home. We had a wonderful time but I didn't get to make a card for more than a week. Definite withdrawal symptoms. The trip was great. It was great to be with family again and to surprise my FIL for his 80th birthday. Going back to work was tough this week but the weekend is almost here and I am ready for it. It actually took me two nights to finish this card, but well worth the extra effort.

This card was made for this week's CPS challenge. They have a great sketch and a chance to win one of four stamp sets from Gina K designers. I used Tilda with Roses as my main image. I originally cut it out as an oval but then decided to cut one side of the oval off to give the hint of an Easter egg since it was an Easter card. I used my Scor-Pal to score the diagonal lines on the background paper. You can see that a bit better on the picture below.

The sentiment is from Gina K Spring Florals set. I used Shapeabilities to cut it out and sponged green around the edges. I accented the card with Prima flowers.

Sorry that the picture is not very good color. We broke the display on the camera during vacation so I am improvising until we can buy another camera. I hope it's soon. I'm hoping to find time this weekend to get back into the swing of things. Can't wait to get some things going. Have a great Friday and thanks for stopping by.

Big hugs,

Donna

I'm loving this card and your idea for trimming! Also, the purple paper and scoring, and the roses, and your coloring -- gee, I guess I just love it all!
