Since coming home from vacation, I've had trouble getting back into paper crafting. Too much to catch up on and no motivation to create. Just going through a period where I'm not pushing myself. So tonight I decided to try to work on a scrap challenge issued by Melanie Muenchinger on her blog Hands, Head and Heart.
The challenge: "See what you can make with the stuff on your desk." I always have card bases that I keep on my desk so I started with a white one. The purple background paper is from Stampin' Up! and I had used it earlier on a card that you can see in the post below and likewise the green background that I cut with a scalloped Nestie. The purple paper I tore by hand. I used a Shapeability to cut out my sentiment from Arranged with Love and I sponged it with Certianly Celery ink. I used two thin white ribbons to adhere the sentiment. The main image I had stamped ages ago and took with me to color on vacation so it was ready to be used. I finished it off by using Grape Stickles to embellish the scallops and the corners of the card.
Here's the inside of my card. I used the piece torn from the paper on the front, added my verse and then created a sunshine by sponging. Details below.
Stop by Melanie's blog and join in the challenge. And check out her amazing scrap card while you are visiting.
Details:
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Stampin" Up! So Saffron, Certainly Celery and Pumpkin Pie, Versa Color Lavender
Stamp Sets: Elegant Flowers and Arranged with Love (both Gina K Designs)
Circle and Scalloped Nestabilities and Tag Shapeability
Embellishments: Grape Stickles
Thanks for checking out my blog today. I'm hoping that I get some mojo soon so I can return with more fun things. Have a great rest of the week!
Happy inking,
