Card Patterns Sketch 32

Happy Monday everyone! Work owed me three and a half hours since I worked on Labor Day and I decided to take the afternoon off. I wasn't able to craft all weekend and I was really bummed about it. So after doing the laundry, the dishes, and a few other things that I needed to catch up on, I was able to get one card in this afternoon. I don't think I've every tried the Card Patterns challenge before but I really liked this sketch.

Isn't this a great sketch? So my card is a little different from my normal style. I'm usually pretty clean and simple and this card is rather busy, in my opinion.

But don't you just love that mouse? He is the cutest! I got the image from a friend I visited in May (Hi Valerie!) And she stamped a bunch of images for me while I was visiting. The cupcakes are from a Sweet and Sassy stamp set. I think the name is Chocoholic. I pop dotted the cupcakes on three different colors of cardstock. The background paper is actually embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder but it's difficult to see in the scan. I added the ribbon to break it up a little bit. The sentiment is from Elegant Flowers from Gina K Designs.

Tonight was my only meeting this week so I hope to get back to crafting in the evenings. I so missed it this past weekend. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and a terrific week ahead. Thanks for dropping by! Play along with the Card Patterns challenge. It's great fun!

Happy inking,

This is so sweet, and I love that you used cupcakes for your three focal points on the left! Jo x
