Better Late than Never Cuttlebug Challenge #48

I have been so busy the last few weeks and I hate not getting time to make cards and paper crafts, but what's a girl to do. Last night I finally got the Cuttlebug challenge #48 from last week finished, but it was past my bedtime so I didn't get to add it to my blog. Tonight I was elbow deep in tomatoes after work. Ugh! But I love having them in winter when they're expensive in the store. Sorry, I digress once again!
Back to Cuttlebug Challenge #48. Our challenge last week was to take our theme (mine was New Beginnings!) and make a gift bag and card. I took a little latitude on this one and made a box instead. Since my theme was new beginnings, I'm using butterflies and flowers to kind of signify that theme.

I love this butterfly background paper and those butterflies really stand out against the black card stock. Both the black and the butterfly paper were embossed with my cuttlebug. I made the box with my Scor-Pal (love it!) and then created the card to match.

Here's a closer look at the card! I decided to go with the box to fill it with candy to give to a Girl Scout leader as a door prize at one of our meetings. Just something special to let them know they are appreciated!
Well, tomorrow is Friday. Yippee! Unfortunately I have another busy weekend so not much crafting getting done again. I am still going to do my birthday blog candy so stay tuned. I just have to get the goodies together and snap a picture. Have a wonderful weekend. Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy INking,

I am glad you made it for the challenge, Donna. I know how being busy feels. I also loved the story about tomatoes. It's nice to know Donna makes tomatoes for the winter :)
