Happy Birthday to a Friend
I just love punches, don't you? I can't resist buying punches either. They are some of my favorite accessories for card-making. I made this card for a good friend's birthday coming up soon. There isn't any stamping on it. I used the computer for the sentiment and I used the 5 petal flower punch from Stampin' Up for the rest. After I punched the flower, I used my Scor-Pal to indent the middle of each petal. When you make the crease it makes the flower stand out and gives it dimension. Then I added a gem from Hobby Lobby to each flower. You may not be able to read the sentiment:
Front: Apart from it taking four painstaking hours to make this card by an incredibly skilled and talented craftsperson...
Inside: the only thing special about this card is the person holding it! Happy Birthday!
The first part I think is so funny but the last part is so true.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my blog. Until next time...
Happy inking,
Donna

It's a beautiful card and she's a very lucky lady to have you as a friend. I just love the sentiment!
Hugs,
Lovely card Donna. I haven't made a card without a stamped or digital image for a long time, I just have to get that punch. Don't have any flower punches (except tiny ones) and they make such pretty embelishments.
Big Hugs
Lora xx
I love what you did with the punches, very pretty!
Hi Donna, I'm writing here since it's easier than finding your e-mail address. I am quite busy this time of the year but I would like to help you with your invitations. I did't understand very well your question about the vellum.
PS: love your army of bunnies :)
That is very pretty! I sent you in the little baggie a type of glitter...kinda big. It works well stuck on with glue as snow or cake frosting, or even santa's beard. Glad you are having fun, Sally
I am also addicted to punches and I love what you have done with the SU flower punch (which I don't have but went on my Wish List) -- the sentiment is wonderful!!
