My L'il Stinkers

Happy Friday! So glad the weekend is here. My FIL will be visiting this weekend so I'm not sure how much crafting I'll be getting done but I'm hoping to get something accomplished. Today is the announcement of the winners of the giveaway over at the Imagine That! Creative Playground blog. I hope you commented to win one of the new sets. Today I am showcasing another of the new sets released this week. The stamp set is called Lil Stinker. When I first saw this set the first thing I thought about was the twins. On last week's sonogram Arthur was sucking his thumb, then he pulled his hand out of his mouth and waved at us and then he stuck his tongue out. Just made me think about the lil stinker. Of course there are twins so I asked Kris to add an "s" to the sentiment, because we're having lil stinkers.

So here's a card for my Lil Stinkers when they are born. I used the new Lil Stinker set along with several other sets from Imagine That! Digis by Kris. All the the sets I used the pre-colored images. I used the Heart-filled Alpha sets of both uppercase and lowercase to create the twins' names/ I also used a gingham paper from Maggie's Apples set as the background designer paper. The sentiments are a bit small to read but they say "I love my lil stinkers." Perfect for the twins. This would make a perfect Valentine for them too but I'll probably make other ones by Valentine's Day.

New Release at Imagine That! digis by Kris

Happy, happy day! We have some new releases over at Imagine That digis by Kris today and next week. Of course you can head on over to the Imagine That! Creative Playground to check them out and comment to win one of the new sets. There are 5 sets being release today and stay tuned for more new things next week! Today I used the Tags & Labels set to create a Christmas card.

The sentiment and the tag that it's printed on is part of the new Tags & Labels set. I paper pieced part of the tag with Glitter Paper which also appears in green and red as the background designer paper also. I embossed green card stock with a Holly Swirl embossing folder. The image is from Mistletoe Kitty. I fussy cut the image so I could integrate it with the tag. The ornament designer paper is from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles. Hop on over the the Creative Playground for your chance to win one of the new sets.

Thank You Mouse

It's almost Monday! And almost the end of September! Can you believe how fast time is going? Only ten more days to work until my retirement but those ten days stretch out through October 31st. If all goes according to the doctor's plan, the twins should be born the last week of October. That will be here before you know it. And then I'll have a different kind of work!
Today I have a card that I colored up for fall.

This is the progressive image over at The Outlawz. The image for September is from Di's Digi Stamps.  I colored the image with Copic markers and die cut the image with Gina Marie Designs Cross Stitched Rectangles. The sentiment is from a retired Gina K stamps set called Elegant Flowers. I die cut the flags with MFT Pierced Fishtail Flags. The background is recycled wallpaper with a yellow card base. I used the sketch from Try Stampin' on Tuesday for inspiration.

Dots and Stripes

Happy Sunday! We have a new challenge at The Outlawz CAS challenge. This week Lynn  is asking us to stripes and dots on our CAS project. My card looks like it's a birthday card but it really isn't. LOL!

The images and sentiment is from Paper Smooches (Stamptember 2014 stamp set). I stamped the balloons on water color paper using distress ink and then sprayed it with water. I used my Misti to stamp the sentiment. To finalize the card I used Glimmer Mist to give it a shimmery look. This is really an anniversary card. The inside sentiment says "Happily Evert After."

I hope you will join us at The Outlawz CAS and show us your projects with dots and stripes. Looking forward to seeing your design. Hope your weekend is fabulous!

Edit: Ning is experiencing problem and some are having trouble getting to the Outlawz site. Please keep trying and hopefully they will have it fixed very soon.

My Last Scribbles

It's been my pleasure for the last three months to be a guest designer for Scribbles Designs. I'm sorry to see the time go by so quickly. But it won't be the last time I ever use Sandy's wonderful digis. They are so much fun to create with.

For my final guest design fun I decided to go Halloween.

Isn't this image a hoot! It's called Coffin Break of course! I colored it with Copic markers and die cut with Spellbinder's hexagon dies. Everything is backed with black cards stock so there are lots of layers. The Halloween designer paper is from my scrap box and I added some self-adhesive black gems.

My second card I just think is so comical. Perfect for Halloween. I'm sure I will use this one again.

This image is Tomb It May Concern and it's colored with Copics. I created the scene around the image inking the sky and the ground. I added a harvest moon in the corner and a die cut fence to complete the scene.

Thanks to Lisa and Sandy for inviting me as a guest designer. It's been a blast. Check out Borqna's great guest design creations over at the Scribbles Design challenge blog.

Happy Fall and the Winner of my Birthday Blog Candy

I thought maybe that Mother nature would be watching the calendar. Fall has arrived but the fall weather hasn't seemed to find it's way to the midwest yet. Still hot and sticky here. I am ready for some cooler weather. Today is my day to post over at Imagine That! Creative Playground and since fall has arrived I thought I would dive right in.

I used two of Kris' awesome stamps sets on this card: Glitter Galore and Maggie's Apples. The green paper that is actually on the inside of this easel card is from the Glitter Galore stamp set as well as the cute fall images. Don't they look sparkly? The red gingham paper and the sentiment are from Maggie's Apples. I found some glittered leave stickers in my stash and thought they'd be perfect to prop the card open. Check out these stamp sets and more at Imagine That! Digis by Kris.

Young at Heart

Oh my, the week is half over already? Where does the time go. It's been a busy week so far with no relief in sight. My daughter had to go to the doctor twice this week. Monday her blood pressure was high so she has to go back tomorrow. We are about a month away from the twins being born if she can make it til then without delivering early. Yesterday we washed up all the baby clothes we have. They found out yesterday that they can move into a two bedroom apartment within the next week or so. Our next big project will be moving them and getting the babies' room ready. Time keeps marching on. I have 11 days left to work before retirement. Things are starting to suddenly feel real.
My card tonight is kind of light-hearted. I thought this Bugaboo image and the TLC sentiment fit well together.

This is Clown Around - Rings from Bugaboo Stamps. I colored him with Bic markers and die cut the image with MFT Stitched Ovals. I mounted the image on Lawn Fawn Stitched Party Banner. I embellished the banner with some Doodle Bug twine. The background plaid is from Trimgym Digital Stamps. I used a Stampin' Up scalloped border punch for the right side of the plaid paper. The sentiment is from Create with TLC and die cut with Gina Marie Designs Cross Stitched Rectangles. The sentiment panel is inked with Salty Ocean distress ink. I used the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches and Bingo from Catch the Bug challenge for inspiration.

That's it for me tonight. Off to see what else I can get accomplished tonight. Sitting in the doctor's office again tomorrow with Tricia for another twin check up. So won;t get much accomplished tomorrow. Have an awesome Thursday!

Cupcakes Anyone?

Happy Sunday and welcome back to another Outalwz CAS challenge. LAst week was my birthday and this week is another member of the DT's birthday so she decided to go with cupcakes as the theme this week. This card is for my SIL who also has a birthday this week!

My CAS card features Spellbinder's Sweet Wish die set. The cupcake, cherry and sentiment are from the set. I die cut and embossed each piece. The "wish" sentiment is popped up with raft foam.  The circle was cut from a new die set I got this week from MFT: Stitched circles. A quick and easy birthday card!

I hop you'll join us this week at The Outlawz CAs challenge. CAS with a cupcake! How simple. Have a wonderful week! I have the next three days off so I'm looking forward to some cleaning and crafting time. Take care!

Ice Cream, Birthdays, and Blog Candy

It's Friday! Almost the weekend. My favorite time of the week. I guess when I retire at the end of next month I won't really care if it's the weekend or not. Today I have one last summer card for you. It's still hot and steamy here so I felt like cooling off with some ice cream to celebrate my birthday.

A cute card using Imagine That! Digis by Kris Ice Cream Parlour, Ice Cream Sentiments and designer paper from Kimmie's Sour Lemons. I die cut the sentiment with MFT Pierced Fishtail Flags and inked in Spun Sugar distress ink. The ice cream parlour image was die cut with MFT Stitched Circles. I added a layer of pink card stock and some ribbon from my stash. I used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches for inspiration.

Happy Sunday! It is a cloudy, warm and humid day here is Pensacola, Florida. We swam in the Gulf of Mexico this afternoon. It was fun. I may have gotten a little too much sun. And the mosquitos think I am sweet because it's going to take me a long time to get over all these bites.
Today begins the new challenge over at The Outlawz CAS. This week is so easy. It's an anything goes challenge!

I needed a 30th anniversary card for some friends. The image is from Crafting with Sue. I colored it with Copics. The sentiment is a mixture of a number set that I have and the Happy Anniversary is from a Clear Dollar Stamp Set. Just a layer of blue card stock and that's it. I hope you'll join us this week for the anything goes challenge at The Outlawz CAS challenge.

Wintery Cards

It's the first of the September Scribbles Designs guest designs today. I made two cards this time for the guest design post. The first is a birthday card with a winter theme.

The image of the penguin is Brrr from Scribbles Designs. I colored the image with Copic markers. I love the punny sentiment from Create with TLC. The sentiment says "What do penguins sing at birthday parties? Freeze a jolly good fellow. Too cute! I added the snowflakes and the ice.

Brrr

My second card is also wintry but Christmas oriented.

This image is Woodland Santa by Scribbles Design. I colored him with Copic markers, added some ribbon and some brads and a star. I used the Get Creative challenge sketch for inspiration.

Birds, Bees, Flowers and Trees

Hope your Labor Day weekend was great! I didn't have Internet this weekend so I am REALLY late in posting my card for The Outlawz CAS challenge. This week we have a fun challenge from one of your DT who is in South Africa. She's going into the spring season so she picked birds, bees, flowers and trees for the theme. That sounds like fun, doesn't it? Your can use one, some or all of those on your card!

I used a pre-colored image from Fuschia and Hummingbird  by Imagine That! Digis by Kris for my birds and flowers. I added some designer paper to the edge and some sequins for embellishment. Pretty easy peasy this week. I hope you will join us for this fun spring challenge at The Outlawz.

New Challenge at Creative Playground

Welcome to a new challenge for the month of September at Imagine That! Creative Playground.

This month our challenge is as easy as 1, 2, 3! Use one, two and three of something on your card. For instance, for my card I used 1 image, 2 designer papers and 3 red star brads for embellishments.

This card is for my SIL's birthday. She is a pilot and has her own plane. So I thought this would be a really fun card for her. I used the Airplanes stamp set from Imagine That! Digis by Kris. The set has line designs and pre-colored images. I fussy cut my image and popped it up with foam tape. The designer paper is from Take Fight Digi Paper. I love the great colors. I die cut each of the rectangles with Gina Marie Designs Cross Stitched Rectangles. I backed the designer paper with yellow card stock on my red card stock base. I added three red star brads as embellishments. The inside of my card has two sentiments and one image from the Airplanes stamp set.

I love the Happy Birthday banner that could fly behind the plane. I also used a second fun sentiment from the set and one of the paper plane images too. Awesome set with lots of fun images and sentiments.

I hope you will join us this month at Imagine That! Creative Playground challenge and show us how easy 1, 2, 3 can be! I am entering these challenges:
