Thinking of You

Another work day over and heading toward the down side of the week! My DH and I are meeting with HR people next week to talk about retirement. We still aren't 100% sure that we will actually take the plunge but there's a part of me that wants to do it. The other part is really worried about health insurance. I guess we'll see what they say next week. We have nasty winter weather heading for us tomorrow and tomorrow night. I am crossing my fingers that it will not get here until after I get home from work. I really hate driving in freezing rain. My card tonight makes me think of spring. Nice pastel colors and some glam.

The gorgeous flowers was a freebie from Beccy's Place. I colored them with Copics but it really looks like water colors close up. The sentiment is from a complimentary set that the company didn't add their name to. That always has astounded me but I use the sentiments a lot. I'd give them credit if I knew where they were from. I added pearls, lace and a button embellished with purple twine from Doodlebug Designs. This one makes me smile and know that spring is on it's way... at least some time soon, I hope!
I am entering these challenges:

Thanks for stopping by. If you are in the midwest, stay safe and  warm and out of the nasty weather.

Donna

Love this fun layout- and the flowers are beautiful! The lace is a very pretty touch. Retirement...lucky you- keep us posted. I am thinking about going back to school so I can work a different job....until I am 70.....hehehe Best of luck with the weather- it is not supposed to hit here until late tomorrow night- I think we will get less snow than you- we'll see.......

Oh My...you have given me that hunger for Spring and fresh flowers with your very pretty card. Love the extra pearls! I just signed up for SS last week. I decided to take at 62...hubby is still working and will wait. I retired several years ago but still sub. We also have our youngest son in his freshman year at college and paying for 2 cars. Well, at least the house is paid for....haha The health insurance these days is the biggest scare. Definitely go to as many seminars you can get and we also talked to our finanical advisor from our bank...very helpful. My sister and DH retired so I learned a lot from the steps they took. Good luck!!!

You did a great job creating a card that isn't a rectangle Donna, and I love that it's an easel as well. The flowers are coloured beautifully, and you're right, they do look a little like watercolour.
Cheers,
Beccy
