Queen of Hearts

Happy Tuesday! I am back on the job market again. I applied for yet another job at the University today. This will definitely be my last attempt. If this one doesn't work out I will likely retire and have more time for cards! That's of course my dream but I was kind of hoping for about 2 more years of work before retiring. So we'll see how this goes. One of my friends thinks I am a shoe in for this job. But who knows. I've thought that before too.
Last night I went to a Copic class at my LSS. I haven't had a lot of practice with Copics but this was fun. The card I am showing tonight is a real departure from my usual style. This is a Tim Holtz stamp.

All the materials were given to us as part of the class. So other than the stamp being from Tim Holtz I don't know the paper source and embellishment sources. I really like the way the card turned out. And I really need the practice with the Copic markers. I'm going to practice more this weekend.
I am entering this card in these challenges:

Thanks for popping by today. I hope your week is going extremely well! Tomorrow we are halfway through the week. I am really looking forward to the weekend. I'll be participating in the Operation Write Home Virtual Card Making Party. I hope you will join us for the fun! And I'll give you a hint. There's a nice prize for someone that participates from my blog! LOL!

It's fun and it's scary to work outside your comfort zone. The card is modern art and retro and I LOVE it for it's uniqueness. It's really cool! I took two copic classes and wish I could had taken more but the store closed and moved a little too far down the road. I wish you the best of luck regarding the job position.

Donna - what a great card, especially since it's not your normal style! Thank you so much for playing along with us at CAS-ual Fridays!
