Happy Thursday! Almost the weekend. I've been AWOL again. My son lost his job in North Carolina and we went to visit. This weekend we are moving him home to Indiana. So I'm trying to make room for an apartment full of furniture and other stuff. He has a few prospects for new jobs so we are keeping our fingers crossed! If you can send up a few prayers I would really appreciate it!
My card tonight is for Operation Write Home. A cute little Christmas card.
The background paper is really a piece of wall paper. We had left over wall paper from day camp and making sit upons. So I'm using some of the left overs on my cards. I used scraps of ribbon to back the Spellbinder die cut image. The image and sentiment is from a brand new Doodle Pantry set called Caroling Friends. I used the already colored image but the set also comes with outlines, background papers and sentiments. I also added a mitten as an embellishment. Makes me want to head into cooler weather.
If you haven't checked out Operation Write Home or sent cards to help our soldiers keep in touch with home, please check it out and help the cause. Any amount or cards or postage help!
Thanks for stopping by today and checking out my blog. I'm hoping that I will have more time to get back to crafting once we get my son settled in. Hope you have a wonderful Friday and a super start to your weekend.

Wonderful, love the mitten and the wee button! Fabulous card, great background and of course the image is a delight. I often use wall paper on my cards, I think it works great!
What a cute card! And, I love that you used wallpaper to make it! The pre-colored images at Doodle Pantry are the best!
This is such a fun and sweet image- and love the wallpaper and ribbon.....and Oh- sit-upons...bring back old memories! I will keep your son in prayers!
That is such a sweet card! I was looking at that set when it released!
I'm sorry to hear about your son! While that stinks I'm sure you'll be happy to have him close again. HUGS to you!
I love how you recycle things and then turn them around to make fabulous cards- tell your son to hang in there (we are going through it too).
How creative to use "leftovers" to create this very fun card. Love how incorporated the ribbon! Great design.
OMG....the card is cute as a button...no pun intended. Love it and that darling mitten svg...wonderful added accessory.
