Gingerbread Tags

I made  a quick project to highlight some new stamps over at Digital Delights. The new Gingerbread Tag Set is so cute.

This is a Memory Keeper box. The pattern is free over at Stamp TV. It makes an adorable little box for sets of cards or photos or whatever you might put in there.

Here's the details:

Stamps: Gingerbread Tag Set digital stamps from Digital Delights by Louby Loo
Card Stock and Papers: Deep pink card stock; the Paper Studio All Over Christmas Candy
Accessories and Embellishments: Pop dots; Scor Tape; Spellbinder’s Lattice Pendant; Green Stickles; Gold encased pearl button
COLORING MEDIUM (if any): Bic Mark-it Markers

Santa, Please Don't Skip Us!

Happy Tuesday!I found a cute little poem about Santa not being able to come down the chimney and leaving him a key; so I decided to make a couple of these cute little door tags for some special little people in my life.

Here's the paragraph in readable form in case you have some little ones in your life that might like this one!
Dear Santa,
We have no chimney as you can plainly see, and I was terribly worried that you’d pass over me. We hung this very special key outside right by the door. Then Mom told me to jump in bed; not to worry anymore.
Your magic will make this key fit, to open up our door. So you can come inside tonight and tip-toe ‘cross the floor.

And here's the details:
Stamps: Digital Delights Window Santa
Paper: Christmas green card stock, the Paper Studio Merry Christmas with Holly
Embellishments: Red gross grain ribbon with white stitching; old key; computer-generated poem.
Spellbinders Standard Circles Large

Happy Tuesday! Hope you are working off the turkey dinner!

Big Project and a New Release at Digital Delights

For several weeks now I've been trying to get a project finished. I was asked to make 100 decorated paper pads to give as a thank you gift to Girl Scout volunteers at a pot luck dinner coming up in December. I'm thrilled to have them completed.

Here's a close up:
I used a variety of punches. The borders are from Martha Stewart punches and the owls are from the Stampin' Up! owl punch.
This week is the December release for Digital Delights. Here's a sneak peek of what will be released on Wednesday.

As you can see the release this month celebrates "new beginning" of all kinds. Stop back on Thursday to check out my new beginning project!
Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. All the best for a wonderful week!

Thanksgiving Digital Delights Challenge

Happy Thanksgiving Day to all my U.S. friends. I hope that you will take a moment today to remember all the reasons that you are blessed. I have many reasons to feel so blessed today: family, friends, a home, a job, 2 design teams this year, and the list goes on and on. I am especially thankful for all my crafting friends and everything that I have learned from all of you. So in this spirit if thankfulness I want to invite you to participate in the Delightful Challenges challenge this week. This week is Flower Power. My project this week is an adorable little ornament for one of my co-workers.

This cute little guy is Pickles the Penguin. Isn't he adorable! Here's the details on my project for the Flower Power challenge:
Digital Delights Stamps: Pickled the Penguin
Card Stock and Papers: white, red, green and yellow card stock
Ink: Stampin’ Up! Certainly Celery
Accessories and Embellishments: Spellbinders Standard Circles Large; Ranger Stickles Glitz; Boho Flower punch, light green brads; Branch punch; Christmas ribbon

Joan's Garden Challenge

One last post tonight. I finished my card for Joan's Garden challenge. As usual Joan has several things to include in her challenge:
  • Make a Thanksgiving card
  • use the color green
  • use a fall image (pumpkins, leaves, etc.)
  • use some kind of swirl or vine
My card didn't photograph well. You can barely see the swirls in the background. In real life they are really green but they look fluorescent in the photo.  Fairly simple card otherwise. The stamp set is Whimsical Autumn by Carolyn King.
Check out Joan's challenge this week and stay tuned for a challenge that has a ton of prizes. You won;t want to miss this one! Have a great week!

Christmas Cards All Year 'Round

Before you know it Christmas will be here. I love to do the challenges from Christmas Cards All Year 'Round. For the month of November you need to make 5 cards that have a tree and ribbon. Here's my cards.

My cards are a mixture of several stamp sets. The tree is from Digital Delights Christmas Accessories Set. The bear angels a recycled from a set of Christmas tags. The round sentiment says "Feel the Magic of the Season" and is from Gina K's Holiday Greetings. Each has a ribbon and a bow made with my Bow Easy.
You still have time to join in at Christmas Cards All year 'Round. I am looking forward to being their Guest Designer for the month of December!
Cuttlebug Spot is taking a two week vacation for the holiday. There is still time to join in their challenge from last week: a thank you for dinner to a hostess. There's a great prize this week so check it out!
Have a great week! Hope your preparations for Thanksgiving won't be too much of a chore!

Baby It's Cold Outside!

It's another challenge over at Delightful Challenges today. And this challenge is all about being cold. The weather is getting chillier here in Indiana so my card today is all about the temperature outside and one of the ways I like to warm up. No not coffee... but hot chocolate!

This little guy is Cappuccino Pippin from Digital Delights by Louby Loo. Isn't he the cutest little guy? Wendy has a range of cute Pippin figures and this one was perfect for our theme, "Baby, it's cold outside!"

You can't see it very well but I added white flocking to the cup to look like marshmallow cream. Mmmm!
So hop on over to Delightful Challenges and join in the fun. Make a "chilly" card and you could win our prize this week! Here's the details of my card:
Stamps: Cappuccino Pippin by Digital Delights by Louby Loo
Card Stock and Designer Papers: Pink and blue card stock; designer paper (sorry I got this in a blog candy and I don't know which company it came from)
Accessories and embellishments: Spellbinders Standard Circles Large and Classic Scalloped Circles Large; sticker paper; Crystal Art Glitter; Snowflake punch; Martha Stewart Punch Around French Scroll; 3mm pearls; white flocking

Cuttlebug Spot Challenge Day

Today the Cuttlebug Spot has an easy challenge for you this week. For the last few weeks we've been designing Thanksgiving projects. So today we have one last Thanksgiving project for you. We made invitations, table decorations and today we've made hostess thank you notes.

So the colors didn't exactly photograph very well. It's a much darker green in real life. And the orange is much more of an orange color. I used the D'vine Swirls embossing folder. The sentiment is from Gina K's Inside and Out. I used Spellbinder's Large Oval Nestabilities. The image is really on the inside of the card and the front is cut out. The sentiment was punched with a scalloped circle punch. Hope on over to the Cuttlebug Spot and play in this week's easy peezy challenge!

Cuttlebug Spot Blog Hop

Welcome to my entry to the Cuttlebug Spot blog hop. This weekend you can see lots of projects starting at the Cuttlebug Spot blog and have a chance to win something fun! You can find the details of my project here but hop over to the Cuttlebug Spot for all the details about the hop and where to go to win prizes!
The hop features projects that followed this recipe:
  • a sketch
  • 3 of something, like brads, button, etc.
  • use ink, paint, mist or all three
  • use some lace
  • texture and embossing

My project uses a retired image from Digital Delights, Ridley Santa. I based my cards off a design by Diana Gibbs. I changed a few things to go with the sketch. The awning is so fun and easy to make. I added the lace for curtains. My three items are the three snowflakes on my sentiment. The sentiment is from Gina K's Holiday Greetings. I added puffy paint to Ridley Santa's beard and hat. The embossing is added to the wall under the window. I used the Argyle embossing folder. Feel free to give me a shout if you have any questions. Now hop on over to The Cuttlebug Spot to see what the rest of the talented design team has cooked up and get your name into the pot for the prizes! The hop runs from Friday, November 12th to Sunday, November 14th. See you on the hop!

  • A character ( preferably Magnolia or Sarah Kay)
  • Some thing that sparkles
  • Nestie by Spellbinders - New if you have one
  • Greeting
Here's the details:

Table Decorations - the Cuttlebug Way!

Welcome to another Cuttlebug Spot challenge. This week your challenge is to design a table decoration of some kind: a centerpiece, name tags, napkin rings, etc. The sky's the limit; think outside the box. Here's my sample:

These are my treat holder name tags that I can use at out Thanksgiving dinner. I've filled the cups with candy corn. Each pumpkins are made with 3 ovals and embossed in the Cuttlebug. I used the Celtic Knot (on the left), D'vine Swirls (middle) and Victoria (on the right). Glue the ovals together and glue each pumpkin to the little box that I made. I added a handle and a stem (a word window punch, cut in half). I used the work window to add the names. I added a couple of leaves for embellishments.

So what kind of table decorations can you create? Join in with us at The Cuttlebug Spot and show us your creativity. Be sure to check out all the amazing creations form the design team. Links are on the right side of my blog.
