My card today is for Mother's Day.
I saw something similar over at KWerner Design Blog. My MIL is very big on purple and I was going to use purple plaid but my printer wasn't cooperating. So I found this deep purple scrap in my scrap bin. Then I embossed the sentiment on the yellow band. It's from Gina K "Notes to Mom." The flowers are also from a Gina K set called "Spring Florals." I colored them with Copics (BV0000, BV01, Y08, and YG09). And believe it or not I then cut my band too short. What was I thinking? But after I looked at it long enough I kind of liked it because you could see more of the pattern in the purple paper so I went ahead and used it. I outlined the DP with a white gel pen and the band with a slim black marker. Pretty easy peasy!
I am entering this card into these challenges:
- Speedy Fox and Friends: flowers
- Outlawz Friday challenge: May flowers
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you'll have an awesome week!

I love the purple patterned background DP- loving the flower and the pop of color- the yellow is perfect!
Good for you with getting out & walking- I have a fit band to get myself moving more- aim at a little more than 2 miles a day......
this is beautiful. purple is always sooooooooo regal!
yep, no coat tho by late afternoon i was in a sweatshirt AND light jacket! 80s here mid-week too. not looking forward to that as with all the windows i have i need to keep the house dark to keep it cool. ugh.
so? what's the diet? low carbs? i was doing 2 shakes a day plus 2 small meals. love the shakes, but i'm NOT paying $45 for a 30 day bag of protein powder! sheesh. i need to go back to portion control. seems to be the ONLY thing that works for me.
enjoy your week.
hugs :)
