Fall Birthday

I can hardly believe that we're into October already and fall is here. The last several days here has been very fall like; maybe a wee bit warmer than fall but we haven't seen the sun in about 5 days and it's not predicted to come back out until next week. I am sun deprived! So I used yellow on my card tonight to remind me that the sun is still out there somewhere. Today is my daughter's birthday. Tricia, wishing you the happiest of birthdays! This card is not for Tricia but for a special friends whose birthday is coming up.

I don't often use gray but I wanted to use this Dearie Dolls image that I had printed off and I found this fall colored plaid paper from TLC Creations. I think the plaid makes it looked textured. Lots of layers on this card. I heat embossed the sentiment using white embossing powder and punched it with a 1 1/4 inch punch and embellished with a couple self-adhesive rhinestones and used some gray twine. I am really like this one and I hope my friend likes it too.

I'm entering these challenges:

how cute!!! really? no sun? we've had sun and warm - yeah! had to turn the air on! the next 3 days, however, are expected to be hot, humid and rainy. we really need it too!

hang in there. isn't there a saying that goes... the sun will come out tomorrow? or the next day? or the day after that? well it will!

hugs :)
