"U" Revisited

To all my American friends out there, Happy Thanksgiving! I can actually say this is a first for me. I have never crafted on Thanksgiving before. But this year is a definite anomaly and hopefully next year we will be back with our families during the holiday season. We were supposed to have my daughter, SIL and the twins for dinner but we are all in quarantine from a possible exposure. The really good news is that everyone is still healthy. And when dinner is cooked we'll be leaving dinner on their doorstep for them to enjoy.

When Beccy posted the "U" prompt at Beccy's Month of Holiday challenges, I posted a comment on the challenge that won a prize.

My husband passed by my computer a couple minutes ago and I had this "U" post up on my screen. He asked me what I was going to do for "U" and I said I hadn't decided yet. So he said, "I think you should do red underwear! You know the long john type of underwear." I asked him where he thought I would get an image like that and he said, "I'll pose for you!" LOL!
Beautiful card! I adore that color combination and so gorgeous for Christmas!

And I got more than one comment when my "U" card did not have underwear on it. So I thought I needed to make another card. So after some researching for free digital images with Santa dressed in his long johns (because my DH wouldn't pose for me after all) I finally came up with this card.

My image came from dreamstine.com. I die cut him with MFT Stitched Ovals and inked the edges with Mowed Lawn distress ink. I backed the image with black card stock. The designer papers are from American Craft and are scraps from my scrap box. The sentiment tag is from GTC's Crafty Corner. I created the Beware sentiment on my computer. The dark green ribbon is from my ribbon stash. And I finalized the card with 3 green enamel dots. I hope those of you who wanted to see Santa in his underwear get a kick out of this card. LOL! I am entering these challenges:
Thanks for stopping by today! I am off to make sweet potatoes and stuffing. Hope your day is wonderful and if you can't be with family I hope you are thinking of them. Stay safe and God bless!

Firstly, I am pleased that all of you are still well.
I like your underwear card Donna. Naughty hubby volunteering and then not following through! I hope he also gets a kick out of you following through on his suggestion though. Well done with finding an image of Santa in underwear. The only one I could think of was a Bugaboo image of Santa in swim shorts which as a pinch could pass for boxers!

I'm so glad you made the underwear card after all. And you found the perfect image - underwear and unicycle. Terrific card and Happy Thanksgiving!

Your post has given me quite a chuckle Donna... I bet your husband was surprised that so many women were waiting to see him in his long johns! You've done a fabulous job substituting an underwear-clad Santa, what a great image. Love the ticket you added for the sentiment. Very cute!
Cheers,
Beccy
