Day 8: G is for Gingerbread

We had the twins all day today and had such fun with them! One of the things we did was rake some of the leaves and taught them to jump in the pile. They thought it was great fun.

Valerie and Arthur in a sea of red maple leaves.
But tonight it was back to my desk to work on card challenges. I am up to Day 8 of Beccy's Month of Holiday Cards challenge. I chose one of my favorite Beccy's images for my gingerbread image.

The image and sentiment are from the Sugar and Spice stamp set. The image is colored with Spectrum Noir markers and die cut with MFT Stitched Circles and inked with Candy Apple Distress Oxide Ink.  The sentiment is die cut with Gina Marie Designs Cross-Stitched Rectangles (retired) and inked with Mowed Lawn and Peeled Paint distress inks. All of the designer paper is from American Craft "The Color of Memories" collection. I added Recollections Glitz Glitter to several areas of the image. To finish off I added three glitter/glitz stars. I am entering these challenges:
Tomorrow is our chipping day for the neighborhood. A grant has paid to rent the chipper and Tom and I are in charge of chipping all the invasive trees and bushes that have been cut from our neighbor's yards. This is the second time we've done this. We also did it earlier this summer. But I know that it will take almost all day to get this done. So hopefully tomorrow evening I'll get some time to work on a card. Guess it will depend on how tired I am. Thanks for stopping by. Stay safe and healthy and God bless!

Lovely card Donna. I like your interpretation of the sketch. The twins look like they are having a ball. Thanks for the update and sharing the photo of their fun day.

How wonderful to see the kids playing in the leaves Donna, these are the moments they will remember for years to come. They look like they're having a blast!
Your gingerbread card is fabulous! I love the collection of Christmas themed papers, what a festive design! The little stars are a lovely addition and finish the card perfectly.
Good luck tomorrow with your chipping day!
Cheers,
Beccy
