12 Months of Christmas Link Up

Happy April Fool's Day! Happy birthday to my SIL who has a birthday today. For the next week and a half we are visiting family in North Carolina. So I'm not crafting and already missing it. We arrived late yesterday and today we trimmed trees. I got the honor of dragging brush around so it could eventually be burned. Got a few scrapes but nothing serious.

With a new month comes a new challenge at 12 Month's of Christmas Link UpGift giving is a fun part of Christmas and something we all look forward to. Whether we are giving or receiving, it is always fun to watch the surprised faces on Christmas morning when opening up our packages. While it may be a bit early for gift giving, let's add some presents to our cards this month.

In order to have a chance to win the prize from our wonderful guest sponsor this month, make sure that your card has an example of a gift or present on it.  The gift can be part of the image, in your papers or even as a prominently featured embellishment.  If you do follow the optional theme, be sure to add FT after your name so that we include you in the draw for the prize.

Remember, you don't need to follow the theme to link up your cards and earn a free paper each month, and have your name thrown into the year end draw for some extra digital goodies.  You only need to follow the theme if you want a chance to win this month's sponsored prize of a $12.00 gift certificate from Sami Stamps.

Here's my card for the challenge. I made a towers card. So I have a couple pictures of it.

The adorable little Present Pups is from Sami Stamps. I colored the image with Copic markers. The background paper is one that Lisa (from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles) has created just for this challenge. I used Gina Marie Cross Stitched Rectangles to but the image and the backing card stock. The base of the card is craft card stock and I backed each panel on the tower with green card stock. As an embellishment I found a little acrylic gift package that I added to my card.
What I love about the tower card is that it lays flat to stick into an envelope. Here's a picture of it almost flat for mailing.

If you link up two Christmas cards during the month of April, you will receive one of the digital paper designed by Lisa from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles just for playing along. It's a win-win. You have two Christmas cards ready for this year and you get a free digi paper. What could be better!

I am entering these challenges:

This tower card is amazing in the design (have never done one!) and I love the cute pups. Great way that you've done the mats as shown in the photo. Good luck with the vacation work, and hope you're having some of our nice Carolina weather. It's hard to drag along a lot of craft supplies, and I find that when I usually do, we're busy and I don't feel in the crafting mode anyway. So just enjoy your family, and be safe on your travels. TFS & Hugs. Happy wkend.
