Dashing Through

Welcome to the weekend! I am so glad that it's here. Sunny today but a little chilly and rather windy. I had lunch out with some friends that I haven't seen in quite a while. Did some grocery shopping on my way home from work and then hubby and I went out to dinner. Tomorrow both of us are working a Girl Scout event. We'll be doing Brownie Math & Science Day. Tom is working in the Electricity room and I am working registration, break room and training the adults with activities to take back to their troop settings. Always a fun and busy day.
Tonight I have another Christmas card.

The image and sentiment are from Dashing Through from DeeDee's Digis. I think it's such a fun image. My daughter-in-law loves penguins so this just may be heading to Florida for her. I cute the image with MFT Cross Stitched Ovals and backed with black card stock. I created the background with Copics and distress ink. The designer paper in the background is a scrap from my scrap box. I used Simon Says Stitched Slopes & Hills and colored them with Copic markers. The sentiment is punched from an e k Success punch and the snowflake is also punched from silver paper. Diamond Stickles to decorate the Santa hat and create snowflakes on the background. I used the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches for inspiration.
I am entering these challenges:
I am off to get ready for tomorrow big event. Hoping that you see some crafty, relaxing time this weekend. I need to work on my FIL's Christmas cards and get started on a baby blanket. Never a dull moment around here. Happy weekend!

Fabulous card Donna, you did a great job colouring the image, I love how you did the background and I'm sure you DIL will enjoy it too. I really like that lovely oval die cut with the cross stitch detail... might have to ask Santa for one of those.
Cheers,
Beccy
