It's Solitary Without You

Happy November 1st. I am so excited for the Doodle Pantry release day today. I just love all the new sets that Laurie has this month. I only had a chance to play with one set but stay tuned later in the month because I am working on a wonderful project that I am very excited about that will use a bunch of the new sets as well as some of the older sets.
I just couldn’t resist volunteering to use this new stamp set called Jail Birdie. It’s just so adorable!

I colored my jail bird with Copic markers. The sentiment and the heart background paper also come with the set. My card base is black card stock. I cut the sentiment into a pennant. I added three hearts and three pearls as embellishments. I used faux stitching around the hearts and sponged the sides of the pennant with red ink. I'm sending this card to Operation Write Home. The Valentine deadline is December 31st so I have plenty of time to make more of these. I just love the sentiment! What do you think?

I am entering these challenges:

Don’t forget to check out the new Doodle Pantry challenge #29 after noon today. You won’t want to miss your chance to get a free set. This month the free set is Holiday Cactus. Check it out on the Doodle Pantry blog. All you need to do is use a Doodle Pantry image. Plenty of freebies on the Doodle Pantry web site
And as always Laurie gives a free set if you make a purchase at the shop. From November 1-24 you can get the Winter Star set free with purchase. Last month we had the Autumn Star and this one is just as wonderful! Don't miss out.
Thanks for stopping by. I sure hope your November is off to a good start. It won't be long before the holidays are upon us. If you are like me I need to get busy, busy, busy. Take care!

i did NOT do halloween this year. however, i did get a few (about 6) kids knocking at my door and i didn't answer it. go figure. none of my lights were on either outside or inside and they still knocked. sheesh! kids will do ANYTHING for chocolate!

nope. no more warm weather. would be a fluke if there was. i hate the cold. oh hell! i hate the hot too. i should be MOTHER NATURE! LOL
