N is for Nativity

Happy Tuesday! I thought I was going to get to craft today but I wasn't able to even get near my desk until after dinner. It was a good thing I had this project started last night as all the little pieces gave me fits as I tried to glue them together. Instead of inky fingers, I had sticky fingers from all the adhesive.

This is an ornament that I made from an empty ribbon spool. I wrote a tutorial for how to make these in 2016. For this one I used Beccy's Place Nativity stamp set. I covered each surface of the ribbon sppol with scraps from my scrap box and then punched or die cut the greens, the star and the flowers from scraps. The star is actually 4 stars glued together for added dimension. These are so easy and fun to make. They make great little gifts or a nice tag for a gift.
I am entering these challenges:

That's it for tonight. I did pick up the twins from Head Start today and although Valerie still has a runny nose she was a much happier little girl. Tomorrow is my fun day as I volunteer all morning in the twins' Head Start class. It's always so much fun to play with the kids. Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a lovely day!

What a great idea! I wish I had saved some of these. I just cleaned out my ribbon drawer on Saturday. I'll save the next empty one. This is just beautiful.

I'm glad to hear Valerie has improved Donna, there's nothing sadder than a sick little child. Hopefully she doesn't pass it on to her brother now.
What a great idea to decorate the ribbon spool, I never would have thought of that. I really like the pretty flowers and greenery and the star looks fabulous. Great job!
Cheers,
Beccy

Your Nativity ornament is just beautiful Donna! Your sticky fingers where worth the work! I know exactly what you mean, you should have seen my fingers the other day, ink, glitter and glue!!! Boy was it hard to get clean.
