Be a Flamingo

I have another quick post that I wanted to share today before I am off to work on day camp. I had this cute image of a hot chick flamingo colored up from From the Heart Stamps. So I made him/her into a quick card using the sketch at I {heart} sketches with a twist. The twist this week was to make a circular card so I didn't do the twist.

The background card stock and designer paper are from my scrap box. The pink I believe is the Paper Studio and the aqua bokeh paper is from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles. The sentiment is from Beccy's Place set called Feathered Friends. I ripped the sentiment and used Spun Sugar Distress ink to coat the paper and then edged it with Picked Raspberries. The image of the flamingo was die cut with MFT Cross Stitched Ovals and then popped off the card with Scotch mounting tape. I really like the color combination on this card!

I am entering these challenges:

Now I have to get back to day camp prep. If I am missing this week and next week a lot it will be due to day camp. I will have a few scheduled posts in there for design team projects. I hope you'll stay tuned for those. Have an awesome week.

Being an ex-Floridian, I'm very familiar with Flamingos! (they are pretty, but oh, do they smell!). This guy is just my style, pretty without the bird fragrance. I love your coloring, and his sense of dress style.Cute. Also love your layout, and the nice touch of tearing and edging the sentiment as you've done. Have a fun time at your camp. TFS & have a great week

Very cute card! When we lived in Florida we used to drive to Black Point Park in Titusville and you could see the Flamingos in the wild, along with alligators, turtles, snakes and lots and lots of varieties of birds. Then up the road was a place to see Manatee in the wild.
